Latest update from the border has Republicans jumping for joy

Republicans have been waiting for this for a long time. It’s news they were hoping for.

And the latest update from the border has Republicans jumping for joy.

Under President Trump’s leadership, the southern border is finally locked down tight, thanks to bold actions and smart funding that’s putting America first.

The House Committee on Homeland Security just dropped a game-changing “Border Brief” factsheet, showing how Trump’s no-nonsense policies are slamming the door on illegal entries right at the kickoff of Fiscal Year 2026.

This isn’t just talk – it’s hard facts proving that when we back our border enforcers with real muscle, the results speak for themselves. The success ties straight back to the Trump administration’s tough stance and the massive congressional boost from the One Big Beautiful Bill, which pumped vital resources into securing the nation.

Look at the numbers: In October and November 2025, nationwide encounters hit a rock-bottom 60,940. That’s a whopping 28 percent drop from earlier lows, making this the quietest opening to any fiscal year we’ve ever seen.

Zooming in on the Southwest border, apprehensions between ports of entry crashed to just 7,350 in November alone. Compare that to last year – it’s an 84 percent plunge, showing how Trump’s strategies are choking off the chaos.

Daily apprehension averages? They’ve nosedived by 95 percent from the mess left by the previous crew in Washington. No more watching waves of illegals pour in unchecked.

And get this: For seven straight months, Border Patrol hasn’t released a single inadmissible alien into U.S. communities. That’s real protection for American families, stopping potential threats before they spread.

The committee didn’t stop at stats – they spotlighted laser-focused crackdowns on the worst offenders, like violent thugs and drug peddlers trying to poison American streets.

One huge win: The administration tracked down over 62,000 unaccompanied kids who got dumped with unvetted sponsors.

On the drug front, fentanyl seizures nationwide fell 45 percent in FY25, which top officials see as proof that smugglers are getting scared off by the beefed-up defenses. But don’t think anyone is slacking – CBP still nabbed over 1,500 pounds of that deadly stuff in November.

As cartels scramble, they’re ditching land routes for the open water, hoping to sneak past. But the Coast Guard is on it, hauling in a record 49,000 pounds of narcotics worth more than $362 million.

“Thanks to the work of our federal law enforcement our borders had yet another month of record low encounters,” Republican House Committee on Homeland Security Chairman Andrew Garbarino (NY) stated.

“The historic investments in border security provided in the One Big Beautiful Bill made these successes possible, and I look forward to continued partnership with the administration to extend these historic successes throughout FY26.”

“The Committee will continue working with the Trump administration to ensure our frontline personnel have the tools, resources, and support they need to carry out their mission and keep our homeland secure.”

Subcommittee Chairman Michael Guest piled on the praise, saying, “2025 has been a record year for border security. I’m honored to work with President Trump to keep our border secure now and into 2026. Thank you, President Trump, for keeping your promise to secure the border.”

This all comes hot on the heels of powerful testimony from DHS Secretary Kristi Noem and FBI brass, hammering home the need to keep flooding American heroes on the front lines with the gear and backup they deserve.

With Trump at the helm, American is not just holding the line – its pushing back hard against the invasion that plagued the nation before. It’s a total turnaround, proving that America First policies deliver real safety for every citizen.
