The media doesn’t want to talk about the situation at the southern border. There’s a reason for that.
Because a new report from the border has left Joe Biden in a world of hurt.
Back in 2015 and 2016, one of the main reasons why Donald Trump resonated with the American people was that he was willing to call out the broken system of the Washington, D.C. “Swamp” as it’s called today.
A major part of that was calling out suits of bureaucracy in the political class who didn’t want to lift a finger to address issues that were hurting the American people. The main issue Trump ran on was, of course, illegal immigration.
Whether a border wall is the best way to secure America’s southern border with Mexico from those who wish to illegally enter the nation, was never the point from the beginning.
The point was that it was a solution. It was a start. There was no real reason not to at least have the basic support of a border wall in areas where it would help where there was little-to-no physical barriers to entry at all.
Sadly, the Democrats in power in the White House in the Joe Biden administration have completely abandoned any work that the Trump administration started to secure the southern border. In fact, it’s only getting worse.
New reports from the Customs and Border Protection (CBP) demonstrate that illegal immigration is back up to highs not seen in more than twenty years.
Border Patrol encounters with illegal immigrants in just October was reportedly 1,521. That is the most illegal immigration encounters at the southern border since August of 2001. In that month, more than 2,000 encounters were recorded.
It’s not just the southern border that is showing dramatic increases in illegal activity over the past few years either.
Data from the CBP also demonstrates that the northern border has seen an explosion in illegal immigration encounters as well, an issue many don’t even think about.
In 2021, there were 916 illegal immigration encounters at the northern border and now in 2023 so far there’s already been over 10,000. That’s more than a 10 times increase in the two years since Joe Biden has been president.
The National Border Patrol Council President Brandon Judd shared with members of the media that there’s been a “domino” effect that’s causing chaos on all borders.
“This domino effect all starts on the southwest but then the effects are felt everywhere because we have to use resources to deal with what’s taking place down south and when you do that, then of course, you leave yourself wide open in other areas, and that’s what we’re seeing on the North right now,” Mr. Judd said.
Recently, U.S. Senator Ted Cruz went on Bill Maher’s show and noted how the president’s administration “inherited” one of the most secure borders America has seen in decades. Today, though, the picture is dramatically worse.
President Biden inherited the lowest rate of illegal immigration in 45 years.
Now, 3 years later, we’re seeing the highest rate of illegal aliens pour through the southern border ever.

What’s making this issue so difficult for Washington, D.C. to address is that the Democrats are absolutely brazen in their support for open borders in modern American politics.
Just recently, a Democrat in Texas (where illegal immigration is hurting so many communities in so many different ways), essentially admitted that people should want to illegally immigrate to the United States and that Republicans should just be OK with that.

So there’s an impasse. There’s two very different and seemingly irreconcilable visions for America that these politicians that are tasked with forming immigration policy have.
One of open borders and one of knowing who is coming in and out. Which do you prefer?
