It couldn’t get much worse for the Left. Now even their crimes are being found out.
And one Democrat Governor is facing jail time if they make this one terrible move.
Here’s the rewritten version with a fresh take, more paragraphs, and a strong pro-Trump slant:
Trump’s Border Czar Signals Legal Action Against New Jersey’s Democrat Governor for Harboring Illegal Immigrant
President Trump’s border czar, Tom Homan, is making it clear: New Jersey Democrat Governor Phil Murphy won’t get a free pass if he’s knowingly harboring an illegal immigrant. Homan’s statement comes after Murphy openly admitted that he allowed a non-citizen with an unresolved immigration status to live in his home — and even dared federal authorities to do something about it.
Murphy’s shocking admission came during a public event with “Blue Wave New Jersey,” where he boasted about his state’s role in challenging birthright citizenship. In an apparent show of defiance, he told the audience:
“There is someone in our broader universe whose immigration status is not yet at the point that they are trying to get it to, and we said, ‘You know what? Let’s have her live at our house above our garage,’ and good luck to the feds coming in to try to get her.”
His comments raised eyebrows nationwide, but they didn’t go unnoticed by Homan, a no-nonsense enforcer of immigration law under President Trump.
Appearing on Fox News’ Hannity, host Sean Hannity brought up Murphy’s remarks while highlighting how Democrat-led cities are actively resisting Trump’s crackdown on illegal immigration.
“Let me read a headline to you: ‘Chicago leaders encourage residents to exercise their rights in resisting Trump’s deportation policies.’ The governor of New Jersey, Phil Murphy, basically admitted he knew somebody that didn’t have full documentation that he was hiding over his garage. Your comment on all of that?” Hannity asked.
Homan didn’t mince words.
“I think the governor is pretty foolish … I got note of it. Won’t let it go. We’ll look into it. And if he’s knowingly, knowingly harboring, concealing an illegal alien, that’s a violation of Title VIII, United States Code 1324. I would seek prosecution or the Secretary would seek prosecution,” he responded.
Murphy, whether trying to make a political statement or genuinely engaging in illegal activity, may now have real legal consequences to face. Homan made it clear that bluffing won’t get Murphy off the hook. “So maybe he’s bluffing; maybe he’s not; we’ll deal with that,” he said.
The discussion then turned to the issue of sanctuary cities, which have become a flashpoint in Trump’s battle against illegal immigration. “And as far as suing sanctuary cities, well, get in line, because the Trump administration’s going to do that already,” Homan declared. “Sanctuary cities are sanctuaries for criminals.”
Homan pointed to the tragic m*rder of Laken Riley as a direct consequence of these reckless policies.
“With one example, sanctuary cities in New York City. If they would have gave (sic) us over the k*ller of Laken Riley when he got arrested in New York City for endangering a child, he would have been in jail and he would never have k*lled Laken Riley. Sanctuary cities are responsible for deaths of thousands, thousands of young children throughout my career,” he stated.
But under Trump, accountability is coming. “And we’re going to sue ‘em. … Look, we’ve got the Supreme Court; that’s what President Trump wanted to do. He will end sanctuary cities,” Homan promised.
Democrat leaders like Murphy continue to put illegal immigrants ahead of American citizens, openly defying federal law while daring the Trump administration to respond. But Homan’s words make one thing clear — this administration isn’t playing games. The law will be enforced, and those who aid and abet illegal immigration will be held accountable.
JUST IN: Border Czar Tom Homan says he plans on going after NJ Governor Phil Murphy who taunted the Trump admin when he revealed that he was housing an illegal immigrant.
Murphy: We are housing an illegal above our garage. Good luck to the Feds who will try to get her.
