Trump is used to being betrayed. But this one is different.
Because Donald Trump is now shellshocked by this backstabbing from a brand new accomplice.
In recent months, Democrat New York City Mayor Eric Adams has cozied up to the anti-illegal immigration agenda of Donald Trump and his movement. This has earned him the ire of the radical Left within the Democrat Party, with many calling him a traitor and a “sell-out” to Donald Trump. They view it as a move for political relevancy and a “grift”. In fact, many are saying that Eric Adams has only recently faced criminal charges of corruption because he’s challenging the Democrats on immigration.
Whether or not his shifting on the illegal immigration issue is wholly sincere isn’t relevant, especially for New York City citizens who just want the city to be safe once more. There’s a reason why millions are leaving the city and the state as a whole, and that’s because it’s become an incredibly unsafe place to raise a family in those urban areas where a lot of families want to be. Illegal immigration is just a part of that picture, whether the radical Left wants to acknowledge it or not. At least Adams has acknowledged it.
Most recently, Donald Trump has said that he would consider pardoning Eric Adams on the grounds that the criminal charges being brought against Eric Adams are potentially a law-fare game for the Democrats trying to keep Adams from wandering off the Democrat plantation. Now Eric Adams has a shocking response to that news that is sure to catch the ears of the entire Washington, D.C. establishment. He’s stabbing the Democrats in the back once and for all.
New York City Mayor Eric Adams Signals Willingness to Cooperate with Trump Administration on Immigration Laws
New York City Mayor Eric Adams, a Democrat, expressed on Wednesday his openness to working with President-elect Donald Trump’s administration to modify the city’s existing laws that restrict cooperation with federal immigration authorities. This shift marks a significant divergence from the stance held by many other Democratic mayors in major urban centers.

A major part of mainline Democrat Party politics is to simply never work with Donald Trump on anything, ever. They view working alongside Donald Trump as being complicit with “literal fascist” agendas and they view that as wholly immoral and unethical. So many top Democrats have said over the years that they will only serve to disrupt Donald Trump and to never work with him. Eric Adams signaling that he is willing to work with Trump is a significant move.
Adams made it clear that he supports maintaining sanctuary city laws that protect law-abiding taxpayers, but he also emphasized the importance of deporting individuals who commit violent crimes. His position is based on a distinction between shielding undocumented individuals who contribute positively to society and removing those who pose a threat to public safety.
In an interview with Fox News, Adams explained his position further: “We both agreed on: violent individuals should not remain in our country.” The mayor was referring to his recent conversation with Tom Homan, the Trump administration’s former immigration czar, who has been advocating for the mass deportation of violent criminals living in the U.S. illegally.
Adams has shown a willingness to collaborate with the Trump administration in addressing the issue of violent undocumented criminals. “My legal team is going to sit down with his legal team to make the determination if an executive order can change that,” Adams added. This discussion centers around the city’s sanctuary policies, which prevent Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) from accessing local jails, including Rikers Island, a notorious facility in the city.
Homan, in a statement to the New York Post, praised Adams for his willingness to engage on this issue, noting a shift in the mayor’s previously more progressive stance on immigration. Homan remarked, “I truly believe sitting down with him, I saw the cop come out of him. I think he really wants to help with public safety threats and he really wants to help find these children.” This shift has garnered attention, especially as the Trump administration continues to push for stricter immigration enforcement.
HOLY SH*T!
NYC Mayor Eric Adams just dared the left to "cancel" him over working with Border Czar Tom Homan and Trump.
"Cancel me because I'm going to protect the people of this city."

Adams also pointed out that certain federal city laws have hindered his ability to control the influx of illegal immigrants into New York City. Specifically, he lamented that these laws have prevented him from putting undocumented immigrants to work or providing them with housing. Despite these challenges, Adams has previously stated that deportations from New York City would primarily focus on individuals who commit violent crimes, not those who have become integral to the community, such as young undocumented immigrants, often referred to as “DREAMers.”
The mayor’s stance comes at a time when he is facing legal troubles of his own. Adams is currently under investigation for federal corruption and bribery charges related to alleged kickbacks from foreign nationals. He has pleaded not guilty to the charges, which he insists are politically motivated.
In a related development, former President Donald Trump suggested during a press conference on Monday that he might consider pardoning Adams in light of the charges. While Trump expressed some skepticism about the indictment, he said, “Yeah I would,” when asked if he would consider a pardon. However, he added that he needed more time to review the facts of the case, which was brought by Manhattan federal prosecutors. “I’d have to see it because I don’t know the facts,” Trump stated.
Despite the ongoing legal challenges, Adams assured Fox News that he has not sought a pardon from Trump, despite their ongoing discussions. This marks a moment of unusual political cooperation between the mayor of New York City and a former Republican president, demonstrating how issues of immigration and public safety have created unusual alliances in recent months.
As Adams navigates both his legal battles and his policy decisions, the mayor’s willingness to work with the incoming Trump administration on immigration reflects his focus on public safety and his evolving stance on the complex issues surrounding undocumented immigration. The outcome of these discussions may shape New York City’s policies on immigration and law enforcement for years to come.
