The Left doesn’t control much right now. And it gets worse for them day by day.
Now Trump slammed the door on the Democrat agenda with a bold announcement.
Strengthening American Agriculture
President Trump took a firm stand on Tuesday, rejecting amnesty for illegal immigrant farmworkers while championing a robust plan to bolster the agriculture sector.
Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rollins proposed an innovative approach to replace deported laborers with capable American workers, including those on Medicaid, to ensure farms thrive.
“There’s no amnesty,” Trump declared during a White House Cabinet meeting. “What we’re doing is we’re getting rid of criminals, but we are doing a work program.”
Empowering Farmers with Strategic Solutions
Rollins detailed a forward-thinking work program designed to meet farmers’ labor needs while prioritizing automation and an American workforce.
“We got to give the farmers the people they need, but we’re not talking amnesty,” Trump emphasized.
The agriculture secretary reinforced this, stating, “No amnesty, mass deportation continue, but in a strategic way.”
This approach aligns with the recently signed One Big Beautiful Bill Act, which introduces Medicaid work requirements to tap into the potential of 34 million able-bodied adults.
“There are plenty of workers in America,” Rollins asserted at a press conference, highlighting a shift toward self-reliance and innovation in farming.
Supporting Farmers and Border Security
At a recent Iowa rally, Trump unveiled a compassionate yet practical plan allowing farmers to vouch for hardworking migrant laborers facing deportation, ensuring continuity for those integral to farm operations.
“You know, they’ve had people working for them for years. And we’re going to do something … we’re going to sort of put the farmers in charge,” Trump told the crowd.
He acknowledged the dedication of these workers, noting, “They bend over all day, we don’t have too many people that can do that, but they work very hard.” By balancing strong border security with support for agriculture, Trump aims to protect American interests while ensuring farms flourish.
“We don’t want to do [border security] where we take all of the workers off the farms,” he added. “We want the farms to do great.”
