Trump’s border czar went on Fox News and made the most stunning announcement ever

Donald Trump and his allies are not joking around. They’re getting right to work.

And Trump’s border czar went on Fox News to make the most stunning announcement you’ll ever see on TV.

Border Czar Tom Homan Discusses Migrant Deportation and Border Security Under a Trump Administration

On Thursday, new Border Czar Tom Homan appeared on Fox News, where he weighed in on a controversial incident involving a Haitian migrant who had been recorded shouting that he would not be sent back to Haiti. Homan was quick to clarify the migrant’s claims, reassuring viewers that he would indeed be returning to his home country.

The incident, which was captured on video and aired on Fox News, showed the Haitian migrant praising former Presidents Joe Biden and Barack Obama while being arrested by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents in Boston, Massachusetts. During the segment on The Will Cain Show, host Will Cain played the clip for Homan, in which the migrant can be heard shouting, “I’m not going back to Haiti!” Cain asked for Homan’s thoughts on the matter, and Homan responded decisively.

“He’s going back to Haiti. I can tell him that,” Homan stated.

The new Border Czar then addressed the serious issue of border security under the Biden administration, arguing that the current state of the border is a direct result of President Joe Biden’s policies. Homan emphasized that the border was not mishandled, but rather intentionally opened by the Biden administration.

“I’ve said it on this network for four years. Joe Biden opened these borders on purpose. It wasn’t a mismanagement. It wasn’t encompassing. He knew exactly what he was doing,” Homan continued. “He played the promises while he’s running for president. He kept those promises. At least you got to give him credit for that. They’ve opened this border up.”

As Homan pivoted to discuss future border policies, he expressed his belief that President Donald Trump would enact the “tightest border in the history of this nation” if re-elected. Homan spoke confidently about the steps Trump would take to secure the border, suggesting that the nation would soon witness unprecedented levels of security.

“President Trump is going to secure the border [at] the highest level ever,” Homan said. “You thought we had a secure border before? Watch what happens now.”

He elaborated further, stating that ICE officers would now have the authority to take decisive action against criminals across the U.S. “ICE officers are finally getting handcuffs taken off them, and they’re going to put them on the bad guys throughout the country,” Homan added.

Under the Biden administration, illegal migrant encounters have reached record highs, drawing criticism from conservatives and border security advocates. Homan pointed out that Trump, during his 2024 presidential campaign, had pledged to shut down the southern border and carry out mass deportations. Since Trump’s inauguration, there have been immediate reversals of Biden-era immigration policies, and ICE officials have intensified efforts to arrest and deport criminals, including individuals with violent criminal histories.

According to Fox News correspondent Bill Melugin, the Haitian migrant seen in the viral video is a gang member with 17 criminal convictions in recent years. Homan’s comments reflected growing concerns over criminality among certain migrant groups and the need for stricter enforcement.

As Homan discussed the future of border security under the new Trump administration, he promised noticeable changes at the border. He foresees the construction of more border walls and the deployment of additional soldiers to the southern border, along with increased physical barriers such as concertina wire.

“You’re going to see a border wall being constructed,” Homan said. “You’re going to see a lot of soldiers down there on the impediment progress and putting concertina wire up — border barriers.”

Furthermore, Homan emphasized that ICE and Border Patrol agents would refocus their efforts on national security. He said that agents would no longer be bogged down by non-security-related tasks such as handling migrant children but would instead return to their core mission of securing the nation’s borders.

“You’re going to see ICE agents assigned down there for trafficking investigations. You’re going to see Border Patrol agents — rather than making sandwiches, changing diapers, making baby formula — they’re going to be doing their national security duty and securing that border. They’re going to be on the line,” he said.

The discussion also touched on the political implications of Trump’s border policies. Before Trump’s inauguration, Democratic lawmakers and officials were vocal in their opposition to his mass deportation plans. The American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) filed a lawsuit against ICE in November, challenging the administration’s deportation strategy. Despite the backlash, Homan remained firm in his support of Trump’s approach to immigration enforcement, warning of legal repercussions from incoming attorney general nominee Pam Bondi.
