There’s still questions remaining about the Trump assassination attempts. Congress-members are demanding answers.
That’s why Congress exploded into disorder when the Secret Service director was asked one simple question.
The American people still do not have sufficient answers about what truly happened that led to Donald Trump’s life nearly being taken away from him at the Butler, Pennsylvania rally. The nation was one inch away from being plunged into chaos, all because of the colossal security failures of the Secret Service.
Republicans, independents, and Democrats all agree that there’s still more to unpack regarding this attempt on Donald Trump’s life. There’s still no acceptable answer for why several rooftops and vantage points were left insecure, which is a main reason why the shooter was able to set up a shot on Donald Trump. You would think securing rooftops would be the first thing the Secret Service “experts” would do, as it’s common sense. So why didn’t they?
Well the acting director for the Secret Service has appeared before Congress in a hearing regarding the attempt on Donald Trump’s life and recent Secret Service failures. All it took was one question for the entire hearing to turn into a screaming match between the legislators and the acting director.
Congressional Hearing Explodes Into Screaming Match
In a dramatic exchange during a Congressional hearing on Thursday, Acting Secret Service Director Ronald Rowe clashed with Texas Representative Pat Fallon over security lapses within the agency. These failures, Rowe’s critics argue, allowed two assassination attempts against President-elect Donald Trump to occur. The tension came to a head when Fallon, a Republican from Texas, accused Rowe and the Secret Service of negligence in protecting Trump.
The confrontation erupted after Fallon presented a photograph of Presidents Joe Biden and Trump at this year’s 9/11 commemoration ceremony. Fallon pointed out that Rowe, as the Special Agent in Charge of the security detail for Biden that day, should have been positioned closely enough to be visible in the picture. Fallon’s question was pointed: “Who is usually at an event like this closest to the President of the United States?” he asked, emphasizing the absence of Rowe in the image. “Were you the special agent in charge of the detail that day?”
Rowe responded by claiming that the security detail was present but outside the camera’s view. However, as the exchange continued, Rowe became increasingly defensive, accusing Fallon of using the solemn occasion of 9/11 for political gain. “That is the day where we remember more than 3,000 people that have died on 9/11. I actually responded to Ground Zero,” Rowe said, recounting his personal involvement in the aftermath of the attacks.
Fallon, undeterred, interrupted: “I’m not asking that, I’m asking you, if you were… were you the special agent in charge!?” Rowe, visibly agitated, retorted, “I was there to show respect for a Secret Service member that died on 9/11!”
Tempers flared as Rowe yelled at Fallon, “Do not invoke 9/11 for political purposes!” Fallon, raising his voice in return, maintained his position: “I’m not.” The committee chairman intervened, but the exchange continued with Rowe angrily accusing Fallon of politicizing the tragedy. “You are, sir. You are out of line, congressman! Way out of line,” Rowe shot back.
Fallon, refusing to back down, accused Rowe of “playing politics” by evading the question about his role on that day. Rowe, still visibly upset, responded, “I am a public servant who has served this nation.” He continued, asserting, “I served on the nation’s darkest day.” With a final, furious outburst, Rowe declared, “You will not politicize it!”

Rowe’s emotional response during the confrontation raises questions about his leadership and whether his actions have effectively addressed the serious security concerns surrounding Trump’s safety. While Rowe’s personal connection to 9/11 is undeniable, his combative tone and refusal to answer direct questions about his role in the Biden security detail only seemed to escalate the already fraught atmosphere. Critics may argue that Rowe’s defensive outbursts point to a lack of accountability within the agency during a time when public trust is paramount.
Already, political commentators and pundits are reacting to the exchange between the SS director and the legislator, arguing that it is not a good look for Mr. Rowe. Legislators are known to be of wild character sometimes, but a Secret Service agent testifying before Congress is supposed to be calm, cool, and collected at all times.
This is not what the American people saw in Rowe during his appearance before Congress. So some are already calling for Rowe to be forced to resign considering his unacceptable behavior in Congress. Yelling at a legislator doing their job of holding the Secret Service accountable is a new low for the agency. It’s a national embarrassment, some would say.

With Donald Trump’s second term incoming, it’s unlikely Rowe will be able to remain as the acting Secret Service director for very long. Soon-to-be President Trump has every authority to replace Rowe as the head of the executive branch. Americans will cheer that move on because clearly the agency needs a ton of real change.
