Democrat senator makes a terrifying proposal that could change everything

Democrats are out for blood. They aren’t shy about it either.

And this Democrat senator made a terrifying proposal that could change everything.

On Tuesday, Sen. Raphael Warnock appeared on MS NOW’s The Weeknight and made clear exactly what Democrats plan to do if they regain control of the Senate. He pushed hard to eliminate the filibuster, insisting that no procedural safeguard should stand in the way of their agenda.

Warnock argued that if Democrats win back the Senate, they must scrap the filibuster so “no arcane Senate procedural rule should block people’s ability to be heard in their democracy.”

This is the same senator who entered office during the 117th Congress and now looks back with selective pride on that period of one-party rule.

He boasted about slashing child poverty for a brief six months, passing infrastructure bills, and ramming through what he called the “biggest clean energy bill in human history” right after the pandemic.

Yet even with all those legislative wins under his belt, Warnock expressed deep regret over one missed opportunity.

He stated, “I have to tell you, looking at what’s happening to our democracy right now, it was a mistake not to take voting rights first, to get the John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act over the finish line. I’m proud of all that work we did. If I could, I’d trade all of that for the democracy, for the people’s voice.”

The hosts pressed him on what this really meant. Co-host Symone Sanders Townsend noted, “[I]t sounds like you’re endorsing getting rid of the filibuster. I just want to — that’s the point, like –.”

Co-host Michael Steele jumped in, reminding him of the practical hurdle: “Yeah, but you’ve got to get the Senate to do that.”

Warnock doubled down without hesitation. He pointed to Democratic support for the John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement bill, which passed the House.

He blamed its failure on just two senators who have since left the chamber. According to him, the party stands ready.

“If we are so fortunate that the people will put us back into power, we owe it to the people to give them their voice,” Warnock declared.

“That’s basic, it’s foundational, and no arcane Senate procedural rule should block people’s ability to be heard in their democracy.”

This reveals the true face of the modern Democratic Party. What they call “giving people their voice” is really about removing the last guardrails that prevent them from imposing their will unchecked.

The filibuster exists for a reason: to force compromise and protect Americans from radical swings driven by narrow majorities in Washington.
