Iran in deep trouble according to this top Trump official

Iran is collapsing. This could be the breaking point.

And Iran is in deep trouble according to this top Trump official.

In a stunning Sunday appearance on CNN’s State of the Union, Energy Secretary Chris Wright delivered a blunt assessment that sent shockwaves through the chattering class: the Iranian regime is “falling apart.”

The moment came as host Jake Tapper tried to corner Wright over President Trump’s no-nonsense warning posted that morning on Truth Social. Tapper read the president’s words straight from the screen, making clear the stakes if Tehran refuses the deal on the table.

“So President Trump and the Truth Social post this morning said if the Iranians don’t take the deal being offered, quote, the United States is going to knock out every single power plant in every single bridge in Iran. No more Mr. Nice guy. They’ll come down faster, come down easy,” Tapper pressed.

Tapper then leaned into classic liberal hand-wringing, asking whether such targeted strikes on infrastructure might harm everyday Iranians and somehow amount to a war crime.

It was the same tired script from the same network that spent years defending weakness abroad while lecturing Americans about restraint.

Wright refused to take the bait. He explained that the president’s approach is all about applying overwhelming pressure to force a real deal. The regime’s own facilities, he noted, keep its terror apparatus humming.

“Look, the president is looking for maximum leverage, maximum negotiation, maximum leverage in these negotiations. A lot of their infrastructure supports only their war machine. Of course, a lot of it supports civilians as well. But no, I’m not worried about that,” Wright stated.

He went on to describe the frantic noise coming out of Iran as the desperate flailing of a dying dictatorship. Factions inside the regime are turning on each other, each scrambling for scraps of influence before the whole house of cards collapses.

“Negotiations are going very well. A lot of the chatter and noise you hear in public is really the signs of a regime that’s falling apart. Different factions go in different directions. They’re worried about trying to get some leverage at the end of these negotiations,” Wright continued.

This is the power of peace through strength in action. President Trump and Vice President Vance are not interested in forever wars or endless diplomacy that only buys the mullahs more time to build bombs and fund proxies.

“I think President Trump and Vice President Vance have us on a pathway to a good ending of this conflict before long,” Wright said, leaving no doubt that the endgame is finally in sight.

Trump’s Truth Social post was not a threat. It was a promise to the American people that their government will finally put U.S. interests first and stop playing nice with enemies who chant “death to America.”

This is what real leadership looks like: tough talk backed by real options, all aimed at delivering a swift, clean resolution that protects our people and our allies without another endless quagmire.
