It’s been a couple months since Biden has fallen from grace. But now he’s letting out all of the secrets.
And Joe Biden just admitted who’s really running the White House.
In yet another eyebrow-raising moment, President Biden referred to Vice President Kamala Harris as his “boss” on Thursday and mistakenly called Ohio Senator JD Vance, Donald Trump’s running mate, by the wrong title — labeling him “secretary” during an event where he unveiled new gun-focused task forces.
The 81-year-old president, well-known for his gaffes, delivered a rambling speech to a group of guests at the White House.
In an odd statement, he claimed to have attended “all but three mass shootings in the United States of America,” before launching a misleading attack on the Republican vice presidential candidate, JD Vance.
Biden incorrectly accused Vance, 40, of dismissing mass shootings as an unavoidable reality in America, even though Vance’s actual comments suggest the opposite.
“I’m going to be very blunt, Secretary Vance of Ohio has called these shootings facts of life. Who the hell do these people think they are?” Biden angrily remarked.
However, what Vance really said during a Sept. 5 interview with CNN was that schools need to bolster security so shootings don’t become a fact of life.
“What is going to solve this problem?” Vance asked during the interview.
“I don’t like to admit this. I don’t like that this is a fact of life. But if you’re a psycho and you want to make headlines, you realize that our schools are soft targets, and we have got to bolster security at our schools.”
Biden’s executive orders, signed at the event, create new panels to study active-shooter drills at schools and regulations on 3-D printed guns and equipment that can convert semiautomatic weapons into machine guns.
After signing the orders, Biden handed the pen to Harris, saying, “Keep it going, boss.” Biden has mistakenly referred to Harris as the “president” at least seven times before, feeding into growing concerns about his cognitive sharpness.
The series of blunders drew swift ridicule on social media, just one day after Biden mistakenly greeted world leaders in New York City with “welcome to Washington,” a slip that sparked even more mockery.
Although Biden’s new gun-control measures don’t impose immediate restrictions, they do create an “emerging firearm threats task force” tasked with studying new trends and making recommendations on gun control.
The aging president, America’s oldest-ever sitting leader, officially ended his reelection bid on July 21, following mounting pressure from within his own party to step aside due to concerns about his mental fitness.
Despite calls from both sides of the aisle for him to resign before his term ends on Jan. 20, Biden has refused to step down. Meanwhile, Harris, who took over as the Democratic nominee after Biden bowed out, praised him during the event as “our extraordinary president.”
The vice president, eyeing the upcoming Nov. 5 election, has tried to position herself as a pragmatic advocate of gun control.
She has made waves by describing herself as a gun owner who would “shoot anyone” who broke into her home.
However, Harris has not provided any specific details about her firearm ownership, leading many Republicans to question whether she’s being truthful.
