Marco Rubio cracks the case wide open on Biden-era discrimination

Under Biden, conservatives weren’t safe. Now it’s time to get even.

Because Marco Rubio cracked the case wide open on Biden-era discrimination.

Rubio Delivers Justice for Career Diplomats Punished by Biden’s DEI Agenda

Secretary of State Marco Rubio has taken decisive action to right a profound wrong: nearly 300 dedicated State Department professionals will receive long-overdue restitution after being unfairly denied promotions under the Biden administration’s divisive diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility (DEIA) mandates.

An exhaustive internal review of over 7,300 promotion cases from 2024 revealed that talented employees were systematically downgraded simply for failing to demonstrate sufficient enthusiasm for ideological precepts like “seek diversity in staff.”

Now, under President Trump’s leadership, those 295 affected diplomats will get back pay, retroactive promotions, and official commendations—tangible recognition that merit, not ideology, drives America’s foreign service.

“The Trump administration is providing restitution to State Department employees who were adversely impacted by the previous administration’s ideological agenda,” a State Department official declared.

Restoring Merit and Fidelity Over Forced Ideology

The Biden-era promotion boards openly penalized officers who showed a “lack of sensitivity to the importance of diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility (DEIA),” according to officials familiar with the process.

Rubio wasted no time scrapping that entire DEIA precept and replacing it with a far stronger standard: fidelity—loyal, zealous execution of America’s national interests.

“The Biden administration imposed ideological litmus tests on civil servants, penalizing competent and deserving government employees in the process,” principal deputy spokesperson Tommy Pigott stated.

“Under President Donald Trump and Secretary of State Marco Rubio, the State Department rewards excellence, which is the right thing to do for our workforce, for our country, and for the American people.”

This move aligns perfectly with President Trump’s broader crusade to dismantle wasteful, discriminatory DEI programs across the federal government and return to color-blind, merit-based advancement.

A Clean Break from Biden’s Day-One Equity Obsession

From his very first day in office, President Biden pushed radical equity policies on the entire government.

“AFFIRMATIVELY advancing equity, civil rights, racial justice, and equal opportunity is the responsibility of the whole of our Government,” his 2021 executive order proclaimed.

“It is therefore the policy of my Administration that the Federal Government should pursue a comprehensive approach to advancing equity for all, including people of color and others who have been historically underserved, marginalized, and adversely affected by persistent poverty and inequality.”

That directive forced State Department hiring guides to demand officers “demonstrate impact in diversity, equity, inclusion and accessibility,” while supervisors were ordered to obsess over “self-awareness” on inclusivity and immediately confront any “noninclusive” behavior.

Secretary Rubio’s swift corrections ensure America’s diplomats serve the nation’s interests—not a far-left social agenda—once again.
