2028 presidential campaign rumor surrounding this Republican reaches a fever pitch

The 2028 presidential election is a little under three years away. But many politicians are already putting plans in the works.

And this 2028 presidential campaign rumor surrounding a Republican has reached a fever pitch.

The 2028 chatter just went from whisper to roar. Monday morning on Fox News’s The Faulkner Focus, Ted Cruz was asked straight-up about a White House bid and he refused to rule it out. Instead, the Texas heavyweight reminded everyone he’s too busy winning to play coy:

“Reporters are going to write headlines that get clicks and get eyeballs. I got a job — it’s representing 31 million Texans. And I’ll tell you right now, the wins we are getting are historic.”

Those “historic” wins? Front-row seat on Trump’s massive tax cuts and the hardest border-security crackdown in decades. Real results, not press-release nonsense.

Axios lit the fuse Monday with a piece that boils down to this: Cruz is deliberately building a lane as the unapologetic, full-throttle warrior who won’t retreat from the world stage.

A 2028 campaign could put him on a collision course with the JD Vance

Cruz drove the point home Monday by talking about the slaughter of Christians in Nigeria: “It’s why my focus right now is on the Christians in Nigeria.”

He dropped a bombshell: he was personally at the White House last week thanking President Trump for finally taking a stand.

Then he unloaded the quote that ought to be on every campaign ad in 2028:

“When Biden turned the other way, more and more m*rders occurred. Because when the commander in chief is absent, is AWOL, bad guys do really bad things. I’m glad we now have a strong commander in chief who will stand up and say, ‘We’re not going to do nothing while you commit mass m*rders of Christians.’”

When Fox News Digital asked Cruz’s office about the Axios report, they declined to make a comment.

Let’s not kid ourselves: Cruz has done this dance before. In 2016 he took Trump the distance and proved he can go toe-to-toe with anyone on a debate stage.

Since then he’s been one of Trump’s most reliable Senate enforcers on many key agenda items of the president’s.

Now Trump can’t run again, and the MAGA movement needs a standard-bearer who won’t go wobbly the first time CNN calls him mean names.

Someone who can keep the America First revolution roaring on trade, immigration, and China.

The 2028 primary is shaping up as a straight-up war: America retreats or America leads.

Ted Cruz just planted his flag on the side of leadership, strength, and zero apologies.
