The United States is on the brink of war. There’s no turning back now.
And Biden just deployed troops in preparation for this imminent attack.
Teetering on the edge
In a move that underscores the growing threat posed by Iran and its terrorist proxy Hezbollah, the Biden administration is rushing to deploy an aircraft carrier strike group to the Middle East.
With Israel facing an imminent attack from Iran, the U.S. has finally decided to step up its game—albeit at the last minute.
This hurried decision comes after Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin had a conversation with Israeli Minister of Defense Yoav Gallant, underscoring the precarious situation Israel finds itself in, thanks to the hostile forces being emboldened in the region.
The Pentagon, in what seems like a reactive rather than proactive measure, stated that the U.S. was taking “every possible step to defend Israel” and highlighted the need to bolster U.S. military presence in the Middle East as tensions continue to rise.
“Reinforcing this commitment, the Secretary Austin has ordered the USS ABRAHAM LINCOLN Carrier Strike Group, equipped with F-35C fighters, to accelerate its transit to the Central Command area of responsibility, adding to the capabilities already provided by the USS THEODORE ROOSEVELT Carrier Strike Group,” the statement continued.
“Additionally, the Secretary has ordered the USS Georgia (SSGN 729) guided missile submarine to the Central Command region.”
Why is this happening?
This anticipated attack comes on the heels of Israel’s elimination of Fuad Shukr, Hezbollah’s top military commander and a key architect of its terror strategies.
Shukr’s hands were stained with the blood of countless Israelis, and his death follows Israel’s firm response to the brutal October 7 terrorist attack by Hamas, where over a thousand Israelis were killed, thousands more were injured, and many were taken hostage.
Let’s not forget, Shukr was also responsible for the 1983 bombing of the U.S. Marine Corps Barracks in Beirut, a heinous act that claimed the lives of 241 U.S. service members.
Yet, it took the Biden administration this long to react to his presence and threat.
Adding to the tensions, Israel is also believed to have taken out Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh in a recent airstrike inside Iran, a bold move that undoubtedly sent shockwaves through Tehran and its allies.
Intelligence reports suggest that Iran and Hezbollah are coordinating an attack, with the timing likely to be sooner rather than later.
This imminent threat to Israel has forced the U.S. to take action, but one has to wonder if it’s too little, too late from an administration that has consistently been slow to confront the dangers posed by radical Islamist regimes.
And, if the warnings we’ve been hearing about Iran for decades are true, it could be that they’re sitting on a nuclear stockpile we don’t know about.
We know Israel has those weapons. If both have them, who knows what will happen?
