Thomas is easily the most conservative justice on the Court. It’s why the Left hates him more than anyone else.
Now Clarence Thomas sent Democrats into a tailspin with an incredibly bold move.
CNN host Dana Bash took aim at Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas on Thursday, raising questions about his role in swearing in multiple Trump administration officials in recent weeks.
But Thomas, a steadfast defender of constitutional principles, is simply continuing his long tradition of service — something that seems to rattle the Left.
“Please raise your right hand again and again and again,” Bash quipped, trying to make an issue out of Thomas performing official duties.
“That’s what we heard from Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas, who’s emerging as the go-to justice to swear in Donald Trump’s cabinet, overseeing ceremonies at the Supreme Court, at the White House, even at his own home, all while he and his wife, a longtime conservative activist, are drawing exceptional attention from President Trump.”
This time, it was Attorney General Pam Bondi taking the oath. On Wednesday, Thomas swore her in during a ceremony in the Oval Office, surrounded by her friends and family.
While there is nothing unusual about a Supreme Court justice officiating a swearing-in, Bash still tried to spin it as controversial.
“Not that there’s anything untoward about doing it, it’s just what it symbolizes,” she said, attempting to cast doubt.
“I don’t have a very strong memory of cabinet officials having swearing-ins of any Supreme Court Justice.”
CNN analyst Joan Biskupic chimed in, claiming, “It’s traditionally been done by the vice president of the United States.”
Of course, the truth is that Supreme Court justices have long conducted official oaths for high-ranking government officials.
But when it’s Clarence Thomas — an unapologetic conservative and a pillar of the Supreme Court’s originalist approach — the media suddenly treats it as suspect.
As for Bondi, she made it clear in her confirmation hearing last month that she is committed to restoring integrity to the Justice Department after years of partisan weaponization under past administrations.
“The partisanship, the weaponization” at the Justice Department “will be gone,” Bondi assured lawmakers.
Naturally, Thomas remains a frequent target for Left-wing media, which has attempted to manufacture controversy around his personal life.
The New York Times and other outlets have fixated on a 2019 trip to Bali that Thomas and his wife, Virginia, took — an excursion paid for by conservative businessman Harlan Crow.
Yet Thomas has been unwavering in his defense, stating that he has always complied with “disclosure guidelines” throughout his decades on the bench.
Despite the media’s relentless attacks, Thomas continues to stand firm, serving as a principled constitutionalist who is unafraid to uphold his values — whether that means delivering landmark Supreme Court rulings or administering an oath to those dedicated to putting America first.
