The left aren’t sending their best. So many of them are caught up in a scandal of some sort.
And a Democrat candidate was put in handcuffs for an incredibly sick reason.
A fringe leftist challenger who’s launched a bid against Senator John Fetterman (D-PA) found himself in handcuffs after federal agents say he urged a senator to assassinate President Donald Trump.
Raymond Chandler III now faces serious charges following a string of violent phone calls that exposed the ugly underbelly of extreme anti-Trump hatred.
Law enforcement officials state Chandler left multiple threatening messages aimed at the president and members of Congress.
His words painted a nightmare scenario of mob justice against the wealthy, complete with graphic descriptions of throat-slitting violence directed at politicians and their families.
“They pull you out of your house and they slit your throat and they slit your daughter’s throat and they slit everyone’s throat,” Chandler said in one of the messages. The message was meant for an unidentified member of Congress, per an FBI affidavit.
“That you know, sir, that is the future. It’s not a future I want, it’s not a future I’m advocating for, but wealth concentration has gotten so bad in this country.”
Chandler pushed hardline positions including abolishing ICE and targeting billionaires. He presented himself as a Quaker-Buddhist committed to “empathy, kindness,” and respect for all.
Yet his recorded calls told a far darker story of rage against success and calls for forced wealth seizure.
“The greed has gotten so bad. People are suffering so much, sir, that that is what is in our future,” Chandler said in the call, per the FBI.
“You will not escape their wrath. We must redistribute the wealth away from people like you.”
It remains uncertain whether Chandler directed his messages specifically at Fetterman or at Senator Dave McCormick (D-PA).
Either way, the episode highlights the toxic atmosphere surrounding elected officials who dare to operate outside approved leftist circles.
In one especially chilling call, Chandler openly demanded action from his senator:
“Sir, I’m calling this evening because what I want you to do is I want you to take a firearm. I want you to put it in your hand.”
“I want you to walk into the Oval Office. I want you to put that firearm to the President’s head, and I want you to pull the trigger and I want you to k*ll him.”
“I want you to put it to his temple, and I want you to pull the trigger. That is what I want you to do as my agent,” Chandler continued, per the affidavit.
“That’s what I want you to do as my elected official. That’s what I am petitioning you to do with my free speech. I want you to k*ll the President. I want you to assassinate the President. That’s what I want you to do.”
The pattern should alarm every American who values peaceful debate and democratic norms. When self-described peaceful activists start scripting m*rder for elected representatives to carry out, it exposes the failure of elite institutions to curb dangerous extremism on the left.
