Joe Biden was already having a rough time with his approval rating in the garbage. But he wasn’t prepared for what was coming for him.
Because Donald Trump just made Joe Biden’s nightmare a reality with this major announcement.
Before the Midterm elections, Donald Trump had planned on making a possible announcement of his candidacy for a second term.
But after the disappointing results for the GOP on election night, many thought he may hold off and wait to see how the Georgia runoff election would go.
Never being one to bow down to what others tell him to do, Trump pushed forward with his announcement, and now we know for certain his plans.
“Two years ago we were a great nation and soon we will be a great nation again,” Trump said.
“My fellow citizens, America’s comeback starts right now,” Trump declared to a cheering crowd.
“In order to make America great and glorious again, I am tonight announcing my candidacy for president of the United States.”
Trump said that he would “fight like no one has ever fought before” and claimed that he would stop Biden from winning re-election.
“Our country could not take four more years,” he said. “They can only take so much.”
“I am running because I believe the world has not yet seen the true glory of what this nation can be,” he added. “We have not reached that pinnacle, believe it or not.”

He reflected on his policy accomplishments during his four years as president, including leading the United States through a pandemic.
“Inflation was non-existent, our southern border was by far the strongest ever,” he said.
Trump also recalled his historic push to impose economic sanctions on China, which he claimed enraged Chinese leaders and maybe spurred them to try to influence the election outcomes.
“Many people think that because of this China played a very active role in the 2020 election. Just saying. Just saying,” he said.
Trump also mentioned the comparatively tranquil condition of foreign affairs during his presidency.
“China, Russia, Iran, and North Korea were in check. They respected the United States and they respected me. I knew them well,” he said.
He criticized Biden’s leadership, arguing he was “leading us to the brink of nuclear war — a concept unimaginable just two short years ago.”
Trump branded Biden’s presidency as a “nation in decline” and a “failing nation” in which Americans were feeling “pain, hardship, anxiety, and despair.”
“Our country is being destroyed before your very eyes,” Trump concluded.
