Federal judge goes rogue and threatens to commit this crime against Donald Trump

The rot in the government runs deep. But this is beyond the pale.

Now a Federal judge went rogue and threatened to commit this crime against Donald Trump.

Wisconsin Judge’s Bold Stand Against Federal Overreach

In a striking display of defiance, Sawyer County Judge Monica Isham has vowed to halt court proceedings in her courtroom, protesting the arrest of fellow Wisconsin Judge Hannah Dugan by federal authorities.

Isham’s stance resonates with supporters of President Trump, who have long criticized the heavy-handed tactics of federal agencies like ICE, which they argue infringe on state rights and local judicial authority.

Isham’s email to fellow judges, titled “Guidance Requested or I Refuse to Hold Court,” was a clarion call for clarity and support amid what she sees as federal overreach.

“If there is no guidance for us and no support for us, I will refuse to hold court in Branch 2 in Sawyer County. I will not put myself or my staff who may feel compelled to help me or my community in harms way,” Isham declared, as reported by Wisconsin Right Now. Her words echo the sentiments of Trump supporters who champion local control and resist what they perceive as bureaucratic overreach from Washington.

“I have no intention of allowing anyone to be taken out of my courtroom by ICE and sent to a concentration camp, especially without due process, as BOTH of the constitutions we swore to support require. Should I start raising bail money?” Isham continued, invoking both the U.S. and Wisconsin constitutions.

Her reference to “concentration camps” aligns with conservative critiques of dehumanizing immigration policies, a point often raised during Trump’s campaigns to highlight the need for fair and transparent legal processes.

Defending Constitutional Principles

Isham’s resolve to protect her courtroom from federal interference reflects a conservative push to uphold constitutional protections, a cornerstone of Trump’s judicial philosophy.

“If this costs me my job or gets me arrested then at least I know I did the right thing,” she asserted, signaling her readiness to face personal consequences for standing firm. This echoes the courage of Trump-appointed judges who have faced criticism for prioritizing constitutional integrity over political pressures.

The controversy stems from the arrest of Judge Hannah Dugan, charged with obstruction after allegedly shielding a Mexican national, Eduardo Flores-Ruiz, from ICE agents on April 18.

According to a criminal complaint, Dugan escorted Flores-Ruiz out of her courtroom through a restricted exit, bypassing federal agents waiting to apprehend him after his misdemeanor battery hearing. Dugan’s actions, while controversial, have sparked debate about the extent of federal authority in local courts—a debate Trump has often framed as a battle for state sovereignty.

Attorney General for Civil Rights Harmeet Dhillon, a vocal Trump ally, called Isham’s threat “problematic” on social media, highlighting tensions within conservative circles about balancing law enforcement and judicial independence. Dhillon’s critique highlights the complexity of navigating immigration enforcement, a key issue for Trump’s base.

A Clash of Authority in Milwaukee

The incident involving Dugan, a Milwaukee judge with a history of working with legal aid and Catholic Charities, has intensified scrutiny of federal-local tensions. Elected to the Circuit Court in 2016 and running unopposed in 2022, Dugan primarily handles misdemeanor cases, per the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.

Her decision to intervene on behalf of Flores-Ruiz, who faced battery charges, has been portrayed by some Trump supporters as an act of defiance against a federal system they view as increasingly intrusive.

As Isham’s protest reverberates, it amplifies conservative calls for judicial reform and stronger state protections against federal overreach—issues central to Trump’s platform. Her stand, rooted in constitutional duty, positions her as a figure of resistance in a state where local leaders are increasingly asserting their authority against federal mandates.
