Republican backstabbers are everywhere these days. But this one went way too far.
Because Hunter Biden has stunned everyone by adding this high-profile Republican to his legal defense team.
According to CBS News, a former member of the Republican Party in the U.S. House of Representatives is helping Hunter Biden’s legal team.
Former Virginia representative Denver Riggleman was a senior technical advisor for the partisan Jan. 6 select committee established by then-Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi.
According to three people who spoke to CBS News, he is currently evaluating data concerns for Hunter Biden’s team.
On Tuesday, Riggleman’s attorney Kevin Morris acknowledged that his client was collaborating with Hunter Biden’s group.
Morris told CBS News that Denver has been helping the team with data analysis since late last year. “He is an invaluable resource and we have made tremendous strides in untangling the massive amount of corruption and disinformation involved in this story. There will be much more coming to the public.”
Riggleman gave an interview to CBS News in which he discussed his efforts.
“I and my forensics, data, and telephony team are conducting data investigations and analysis for Hunter Biden’s legal team,” Riggleman informed CBS News, emphasizing that they are looking at “data across the spectrum.”
According to the Washington Examiner, prominent Republican legislators in the House have accumulated a large amount of evidence about charges that President Joe Biden and his son Hunter participated in a multi-million dollar bribery scheme and other scandals.
Despite last month’s announcement of a plea deal between Hunter Biden and federal prosecutors on tax fraud and gun possession charges, House Republicans continue to look into the matter.
As part of his work with Hunter Biden’s team, Riggleman investigated allegations concerning the first son’s infamous laptop, which had been left at a Delaware repair shop.
The former congressman is useful to the team because of the knowledge he can share about the inner workings of the Republican Party in the House.
According to CBS News’s reporting, Riggleman spent months analyzing digital evidence to determine if any information related to Hunter Biden had been altered or invented by the Biden legal team.
CBS News stated that on Monday, Riggleman was in the White House to celebrate the Fourth of July after meeting with Hunter Biden’s attorneys at the Four Seasons hotel in Washington, D.C.
The Jan 6 Committee hired Riggleman that summer of 2021. Bennie Thompson, a Democrat from Mississippi and the committee’s then-chairman, praised Riggleman’s “deep background in national security and intelligence matters.”
Before his election to Congress in 2018, Riggleman worked in military intelligence and for the National Security Agency. Rep. Bob Good (R-Va.) defeated him in 2020.
This has to be the final nail in the coffin of Denver Riggleman’s time as a Republican holding any significant office.
There’s no excuse for these actions. Conservatives in the House like James Comer and Jim Jordan are desperately trying to do everything in their power to hold Hunter and Joe Biden responsible for their crimes.
Now Riggleman is literally working against them. He’s working for the Bidens with the intention to help Hunter Biden’s legal defense.
There’s no room in the future Republican Party for betrayers like Denver Riggleman. He can kiss his political future good-bye.
