Joe Biden is back in the news for an absurd reason

Biden was a terrible president. It’s hard to deny that.

And Joe Biden is back in the news for an absurd reason.

In a striking admission on CNN, Arizona Democrat Rep. Greg Stanton revealed just how fractured the left remains over the Biden years.

While trying to salvage something from the wreckage, Stanton pushed Democrats to praise certain big-ticket spending bills even as he conceded the former president’s stubborn decision to seek re-election torpedoed their party’s chances.

Stanton urged his party to focus on what he sees as victories from the Biden era.

Yet his words carry an unmistakable air of damage control, as voters across the heartland delivered a resounding verdict against the policies and leadership that defined those four years.

The congressman specifically highlighted two major pieces of legislation. He pointed to massive government outlays framed as economic boosters, but critics have long argued these programs funneled taxpayer dollars into elite priorities while everyday costs soared for working families.

Stanton declared, “we should be celebrating the successes that happened during the Joe Biden administration, particularly the Inflation Reduction Act, which is the largest investment in clean energy and lowering of pharmaceutical drug prices. We should be celebrating the bipartisan infrastructure law, which really helped to move the American economy forward.”

This rosy portrayal clashes sharply with the lived reality for millions of Americans who faced record-high inflation, supply chain breakdowns, and energy prices that hammered household budgets.

Right-leaning voices have repeatedly called out the Inflation Reduction Act as a green energy slush fund that did little to tame rising costs and instead supercharged federal spending.

Stanton doubled down in his interview, repeating the call to honor these initiatives despite the political fallout from Biden’s prolonged grip on power.

He continued, “Well, look, vis-a-vis Joe Biden, we should be celebrating the successes that happened during the Joe Biden administration, particularly the Inflation Reduction Act, which is the largest investment in clean energy and lowering of pharmaceutical drug prices. We should be celebrating the bipartisan infrastructure law, which really helped to move the American economy forward. We’re going to be benefiting from that for a long period of time.”

Such claims ring hollow to families still paying the price for Washington’s endless money printing and regulatory zeal.

Stanton went further, insisting that backing elements of Biden’s agenda while criticizing the re-election bid makes perfect sense for his party.

He stated, “So, saying you support those elements of Joe Biden’s agenda, but also saying President Biden never should have begun the process of running for a second term are not inconsistent with each other. In fact, they are exactly consistent with each other. President Biden never should have moved forward with the beginning of running for a second term. It created chaos in our primary process and it really hurt us in the last election. So, you should embrace the parts of the Biden administration where the American people support the agenda. And I think that’s the right way to talk about President Biden.”

This selective memory exposes a deeper truth: Democrat insiders knew Biden’s fitness was failing yet prioritized power over the nation’s best interests.

The chaos Stanton admits to inflicted real harm on their electoral prospects, but the real victims were the American people subjected to weak borders, urban crime waves, and economic mismanagement.
