The Left isn’t hiding their disdain for Republicans and Trump. But now they’re making the most outrageous claims yet.
And Joy Reid went off the rails with a gross statement after the Trump assassination attempt.
In a blatant display of hypocrisy, MSNBC’s Joy Reid once again aimed her venom at Republicans, conveniently ignoring the real threats facing former President Trump.
Just a day after another assassination attempt on Trump, Reid had the audacity to accuse Republicans of being the ones guilty of “actual violence,” completely glossing over the constant barrage of attacks directed at the former president.
Reid began her show by launching an all-out assault on Republican vice-presidential candidate JD Vance, accusing him of inciting “literal terrorism” for merely pointing out the troubling reality about Haitian migrants in Springfield, Ohio.
Instead of addressing the facts, Reid opted to play the blame game, targeting anyone who dared to speak the truth.
In her discussion with David Rothkopf from the Daily Beast, Reid doubled down, claiming it was the MAGA Republicans who were instigating violence. She even had the nerve to point to the recent bomb threats in Springfield as proof.
“The irony of it is the actual violence we’re seeing comes much more disproportionately from MAGA themselves,” Reid ranted, bringing up January 6 and accusations of election worker threats, as though those incidents justify the silence over real violence happening against Trump.
But Reid’s narrative crumbled hours before her show even aired. Republican Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine, who actually deals with the facts on the ground, revealed that the bomb threats in Springfield were all hoaxes, coming not from “MAGA extremists,” but from foreign actors seeking to exploit America’s vulnerabilities.
“I want to say to the parents in Springfield, these threats have all been hoaxes,” DeWine stated. “None of them have panned out… We think that this is one more opportunity to mess with the United States, and they’re continuing to do that.”
And yet, instead of acknowledging this reality, Reid stuck to her tired script, continually attacking conservatives, all while ignoring the fact that there’s been another assassination attempt on Trump — something that the mainstream media seems more than willing to sweep under the rug.
Fox News Digital reached out to MSNBC for comment, but unsurprisingly, no response was given.
Reid’s show thrives on selective outrage, with her accusations of “stochastic terrorism” only ever aimed at conservatives, all while completely disregarding the extreme rhetoric coming from the Left that clearly fuels dangerous actions, such as the second assassination attempt on Trump in two months.
Trump has long been demonized by Democrats, painted as a threat to democracy itself, yet when it comes to real violence against him, Reid and her allies refuse to address the toxic rhetoric on their side.
Instead, she turned her ire back on Trump, attacking him for calling out Democrats’ “highly inflammatory language” in the wake of the attempt on his life.
“He has now blamed Biden and Harris rhetoric for the latest assassination attempt, saying he will save the country,” Reid mocked, completely ignoring that Trump is the victim here.
Reid even had the gall to reference the first attempt on Trump’s life, dismissing it with claims that the shooter was a Republican, despite the fact that the assassin, Thomas Crooks, also donated to ActBlue, a Democratic fundraising platform.
Rather than holding her own side accountable for their vicious attacks on Trump, Reid bizarrely shifted the conversation to a joke Trump made about Taylor Swift, trying to link it to violent threats.
The Left’s desperation to connect everything back to Trump shows just how deep their disdain for him goes, even when he’s the target of real violence.
Reid and her media cohorts have continuously tried to link Trump’s rhetoric to the attempts on his life, but they conveniently ignore the heated language from Democrats that has real-world consequences.
It’s clear that for Joy Reid, facts don’t matter—only her skewed narrative does.
