The foreign policy disasters of the Biden admin are racking up. This one is truly devastating.
As President Biden made a big mistake trusting a top foreign enemy who has put America in serious danger.
President Biden’s ability to manage international relations has been misguided at best and completely incompetent at worst. America’s allies feel worse about their relationship with the United States today than they did three years ago. And America’s enemies are more emboldened today than they were three years ago.
It’s hard to ignore the very clear role Joe Biden has had in making that an unfortunate reality in his first term in the White House.
It most clearly seems as though Joe Biden and his administration officials are simply out of their element. It’s as if they have no idea how to get messaging right at all or handle anything with care and nuance. Who leaves billions of dollars in U.S. military equipment in Afghanistan for terrorists to hijack and use? The Biden administration apparently.
When that happened in the summer of 2021, it signaled to the rest of the world that the United States under Joe Biden’s “leadership” as the commander-in-chief had no backbone anymore. That’s extremely evident after the way the Chinese President just played Joe Biden like a fiddle on the world stage.
Last November, President Joe Biden met with the President of China’s communist regime, Xi Jinping, and the two reportedly discussed a coordinated effort to stop the proliferation of drugs around the world. Especially that new, extremely dangerous drug that’s been ravaging the streets known as fentanyl.
Sounds like a good idea right? Well, if you ignore the fact that the Chinese are effectively a sworn enemy of the United States who would love nothing more than to watch the U.S. crumble under the weight of drugs and crime. That seems like a pretty big oversight for the Biden administration to make.
One they did, though. According to new reports from Congress, not only is China doing nothing to eliminate drug proliferation or shut down drug trafficking channels, they are also subsidizing the manufacturing of deadly drugs and helping companies in their trafficking efforts.
The U.S. House Select Committee made several jaw-dropping conclusions that just makes Joe Biden look like a fool for thinking he could trust the Chinese President to do anything that would help the United States.
The report suggests that China quite literally “subsidizes the manufacturing and export of illicit fentanyl materials and other synthetic narcotics through tax rebates.”
They also conclude that the Chinese Communist Party provides “monetary grants and wards to companies openly trafficking illicit fentanyl materials and other synthetic narcotics.” On this point, the report also adds that some of these companies are getting sweetheart visits from Chinese Communist Party officials.
This is all just the beginning, so strap your seatbelt.
Thirdly, the report says that the Chinese government “holds ownership in several PRC companies tied to drug trafficking.” Say what? The Chinese government has a financial interest in companies who are known traffickers of illicit drugs? The report provides an example of a government prison that apparently owns a chemical company known for drug trafficking. Furthermore, a “publicly traded PRC company hosting thousands of solicitations of open drug trafficking on its sites,” was detailed in the report.
According to the House Committee, the Chinese government is also guilty of failing to “prosecute fentanyl manufacturers,” as well as allowing the “open sale of fentanyl materials” on the internet.
In the report’s last two points, the House Committee accuses China of inconsistently applying their own censorship rules to prevent exportation of illicit drugs from China as well as benefitting from the worsening global fentanyl crisis.
The report does provide a few recommendations to the Biden administration that the federal government should heed in response to China’s lethargy in lifting a finger to address the fentanyl exports from China.
Those include giving law enforcement officials the resources and up-to-date technology they need to track and enforce anti-illicit drug laws, as well as implementing new trade and customs enforcement measures to choke out any drug trafficking channels.
What this report tells us is that Joe Biden is a fool if he thought China actually gave a rat’s *ss about working with the United States to stop drug proliferation. As long as China is benefitting from it and not bearing the brunt of it, why would they care? Why would they help their enemy?
