Republican goes on live TV and betrays Donald Trump in an unexpected move

Trump can’t believe it. This used to be one of his fiercest allies.

And a Republican went on live TV and betrayed Donald Trump in an unexpected move.

On daytime TV, Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene stepped onto The View and flipped the script, revealing a more approachable side while boldly parting ways with President Trump and her fellow Republicans on key issues. The Georgia firebrand, long known for her no-holds-barred style, turned heads with her candid takes

Co-host Sunny Hostin, usually quick to pounce on conservatives, couldn’t hide her shock. “I’m sitting here just stumped, you know, because you are a very different person than I thought,” she admitted. “You’ve gone so right, it’s like you’re on the left now.”

As a staunch America First advocate, Greene didn’t hesitate to challenge Trump’s pick in the New York City mayor’s race. She outright rejected his nod to former Gov. Andrew Cuomo, throwing her support behind Republican Curtis Sliwa instead, even as the odds were stacked against him in a showdown with socialist Democrat Zohran Mamdani.

“I wouldn’t vote for Andrew Cuomo. All these women came out with accusations against him, which I found pretty disgusting, and then the COVID lockdowns and all the people’s parents and grandparents who died in nursing homes,” Greene stated firmly.

Shifting gears to justice for victims, Greene demanded the unsealing of Jeffrey Epstein’s files, a move that’s gained traction among some Democrats but faces pushback from Trump, who dismisses it as a baseless probe.

“It seems like very rich and powerful men are being protected,” Greene said.

“And I will sign anybody’s resolution, and I’ll get on board with anyone’s wish to release those files, because this is about women, especially when they were teenagers, were victims of r*pe and s*xual abuse by Jeffrey Epstein, and according to the victims another, there’s a list of men that they haven’t released yet.”

On foreign policy, Greene carved out her own path, questioning Trump’s backing of Israel and expressing reservations about military ops targeting drug runners in South American waters. Yet she gave a shoutout to the troops handling the border chaos with Mexico.

“I don’t believe in regime change. I don’t believe that we should be engaging in war, period. I’m totally against wars,” she declared. “I have full faith and confidence in our great men and women in our military.”

Addressing the buzz around neo-Nazi Nick Fuentes on Tucker Carlson’s show, Greene made her position clear. “I’m not antisemitic, but I am critical of the Israeli government,” she said.

Healthcare hit close to home for Greene, who pushed for keeping Affordable Care Act subsidies alive beyond their December 31 expiration. She blasted GOP brass for dragging their feet.

Extending those aids has become a Democrat obsession, even sparking a shutdown last month to force the issue.

“I’m going to pick on Republicans. Republicans never fixed it. And then the ACA tax credits were passed in 2021, and there was a sunset date of the end of this year. And Republicans never made a plan for that,” she vented.

Greene didn’t stop there—she revealed she lit into House Speaker Mike Johnson during a recent GOP huddle. “I yelled at [Republican House Speaker] Mike Johnson last week on our GOP conference call,” she said.

Skipping the latest call to appear on the show, Greene hoped for progress. “By the way, I’m missing the call today. It’s going on right now, and I hope that Mike Johnson is finally giving a single health care policy, because the country deserves it, and it shouldn’t be a secret.”

Famous for clashing with progressives like Reps. Ilhan Omar, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, and Jasmine Crockett, Greene surprised everyone by dialing back the fire. The crowd braced for fireworks, but instead, she earned cheers with a plea for solidarity among strong women.

“Women to women, we need to pave a new path,” Greene said to the hosts of the program.

“This country, our beautiful country, our red, white and blue flag, is just being ripped to shreds, and I think it takes women of maturity to sew it back together.”
