The Highest Court in the land has had a ton of Trump cases brought to their bench. Many have gone Trump’s way.
But now the Supreme Court has handed down this wild ruling on Donald Trump’s First Amendment rights.
The Democrats and the entire radical Left are deadset on seeing Donald Trump locked up with the key thrown away.
They are still upset he was ever President in the first place, but more so, they are pulling out every political dirty trick to prevent him from winning in 2024.
One of those dirty tricks they’ve been working on for more than five years has centered around Donald Trump’s tax returns.
The Left is convinced Donald Trump is some evil businessman who is dodging paying his taxes and therefore should be thrown in jail.
Recently, the House Ways and Means Committee controlled by Democrats ordered Donald Trump to hand over his tax records.
Trump took this order to court, arguing that they had no right to order his personal tax records and that it was politically motivated.
The lower court ruled against Donald Trump and upheld the Democrat-controlled Committee’s order.
The Trump legal team then took the case to the Supreme Court in hopes that the High Court would acknowledge how politically motivated the House Democrats are.
Unfortunately, that’s not what happened. The Supreme Court has ruled against Trump saying he must hand over his tax records.
Trump took to his Truth Social account to make it clear that he still believes the move is politically motivated and that the Supreme Court should’ve ruled against the Committee.
“It is unprecedented to be handing over Tax Returns, & it creates a terrible precedent for future Presidents. Has Joe Biden paid taxes on all of the money he made illegally from Hunter & beyond,” Trump wrote.
More than that, Trump argued that the Supreme Court has lost “honor” and “standing” because of rulings like these that play into political plays from the radical Left.
“The Supreme Court has lost its honor, prestige, and standing, & has become nothing more than a political body, with our Country paying the price. They refused to even look at the Election Hoax of 2020. Shame on them!” Trump added.
Outlets have pointed out that the House will now be able to review over six years of tax returns from Donald Trump.
There’s little doubt that the House Ways and Means Committee is playing political games to get Donald Trump off the path of winning the White House in 2024.
More concerningly, this is a bombshell ruling on the First Amendment. There’s no law saying that an incoming President has to release their tax records for all to see.
This is yet another chip at the First Amendment privacy rights that every American, regardless of status, should have under the Constitution.
This Supreme Court ruling is way more significant than many may think.
