It’s no secret that the radical Left wants to disarm Americans. But no one ever thought they’d be so open about it.
And Chuck Schumer stunned all with a massive change to the 2nd Amendment.
Senator Chuck Schumer (D-NY) stated Monday night on X that he will bring an “assault weapons” ban to the Senate floor “this week.”
Senator Schumer made the following post on X:
This week, I will put the Assault Weapons Ban on the Senate floor.
After I led the passage of the Brady Bill and the Assault Weapons Ban 30 years ago, America saw a decrease in mass shootings and gun deaths.
We must stand with the American people and against the gun lobby.

Breitbart News has conducted many fact checks on Democrats’ assertion that the “assault weapons” ban from 1994 to 2004 reduced gun violence.
On June 19, 2023, for example, Breitbart News reported that White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said the ban reduced gun violence.
They found her claim to be false as the Department of Justice’s National Institute of Justice (NIJ) issued a report, noting that any impact the ban had on crime was negligible.
Schumer is repeating Jean-Pierre’s claim and it is still false.
He stated that Democrats are “standing with the American people” by supporting the proposed gun control measures.
However, only two weeks ago — on November 21, 2023 — Breitbart News cited an NBC News poll that revealed that American gun ownership had reached its highest level in poll history.
More over half of all Americans answered they or someone in their household has a gun.
Furthermore, according to a Harvard/Harris Poll, six out of ten respondents believe owning a gun is part of defending oneself against criminals.
If we concentrate on firearms that Democrats refer to as “assault weapons,” there were approximately 25 million in circulation on June 21, 2022.
The National Shooting Sports Foundation reported at the time that there were more AR/AK-style rifles on the market “than Ford F-Series trucks on the road.”
The quantity of AR/AK-style guns on the market is undoubtedly much higher.
But take a step back from the data.
Of course, it’s unfeasible to confiscate all of these guns.
Of course, banning them won’t stop shootings, since they’re rarely used in most gun crimes.
But that’s not their objective. They just want to disarm the American people.
