And now the FBI found something that totally proves that Joe Biden’s put America into a national security crisis.
Remember that Chinese Spy Ballon fiasco from back in January and February of last year? Well, the Biden administration would prefer you would forget about it.
Of course, Americans haven’t been able to and ever since that breaking news early last year, there’s been growing concerns that the Biden administration simply isn’t able to protect the nation the way the federal government is supposed to.
Even if you ignore the immigration issue that Joe Biden and company have been taking serious heat over on both ends of the political spectrum, there’s a whole host of other major national security concerns that keep popping up one after another.
Now a new report from the Federal Bureau of Investigation is once again raising eyebrows about the possibility of Joe Biden’s national security efforts falling apart at the seams.
According to three people familiar with the situation, sources told CNN on Friday that commercial fisherman in Alaska are sending what appears to be a foreign surveillance balloon to the FBI for more investigation.
Officials are worried that the device is another Chinese surveillance balloon, so when the commercial fishing vessel docks, probably over the weekend, representatives from the FBI will be there to remove it, according to the reports. Following this, it will be brought to the FBI’s lab in Quantico, Virginia, for additional examination, just as the Chinese spy balloon that was found off the coast of the United States in February 2023 was.
Reportedly speaking to CNN, the sources said that the fisherman reported the item to law enforcement officials after taking pictures of it. Even though they said the item may not have been a balloon, the images horrified law enforcement to the point that FBI agents who saw them wanted to send it in for an investigation.
Those who saw it told CNN that it looked like other balloons that foreign countries have used to spy on the United States in the past.
“The FBI is aware of debris found off the coast of Alaska by a commercial fishing vessel. We will work with our partners to assist with the logistics of the debris recovery,” the federal agency shared with reporters in a statement.
A little over a year ago, Washington was enraged by a huge, Chinese surveillance balloon that was traveling across the country in the same area as this new suspicious device. On February 4, 2023, in American airspace, fighter jets shot down the balloon near South Carolina’s coast.
The balloon had already flown over critical military sites before that. Government officials in Biden’s administration said that key sites had been safeguarded from the Chinese balloon’s eavesdropping capabilities and that the incident did not pose a threat to any U.S. national security objectives.
The Chinese spy balloon was part of a larger aerial surveillance program sponsored by the Chinese military to gather data on other countries, which includes the United States.
In February 2023, Gen. Glen VanHerck, who had previously served as chief of both NORAD and U.S. Northern Command, testified before Congress that the joint U.S.-Canadian airspace warning and defense organization had failed to detect prior occurrences of Chinese surveillance balloons invading U.S. territory.
According to CNN, the military then expanded the radar signal window and detected many similar balloons in the sky.
The United States military sent fighter planes to investigate a balloon that was passing over the Midwest on February 23; however, the balloon was not determined to pose a danger to U.S. commercial or national security airspace.
It will be interesting to see what the Joe Biden administration’s response to this news will be should examination of the device return that it is a piece of spy-craft from the Chinese once again.
