Biden admin went full moron mode by goofing a basic question in Fox News interview

The Biden admin continues to surprise. Not in a good way either.

Because a top Biden official went on Fox News and looked like a total moron fumbling this basic question.

It’s pretty hard to find anything nice to say about the Biden administration as a whole. The individuals that make it up aren’t exactly impressive by any stretch of the imagination, and that’s from top to bottom. It all starts with the snooze-worthy and incompetent one-two punch in President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris.

The record of the Biden administration goes to show you just how unimpressive the group of lackeys truly is. Sky high inflation, a housing crisis, a national security crisis, a worsening immigration crisis, and international wars are popping up seemingly every year now.

The inability of the Biden administration to tackle any real issue with any degree of competency has been on display from the beginning, but it was truly on display with Biden official Janet Yellen’s appearance on Fox News.

In a recent appearance on Fox News, Secretary of the Treasury Janet Yellen sidestepped a direct question regarding the potential closure of the U.S.-Mexico border to combat fentanyl trafficking.

The question arose amid ongoing concerns about the opioid crisis, with the National Center for Health Statistics reporting that 107,543 people died from drug overdoses in 2023, a slight decrease from 111,029 in 2022. Of these deaths, 74,702 in 2023 and 76,226 in 2022 were linked to synthetic opioids, including fentanyl.

During the interview on Your World with Neil Cavuto, the host, Neil Cavuto, suggested that closing the border might be a straightforward solution to curb drug trafficking. “Isn’t the better solution, and maybe it addresses what you’re doing here, Secretary, to just shut down the border – entirely?” Cavuto asked. He referenced former President Donald Trump’s advocacy for such a measure.

Yellen, however, deflected the question, emphasizing other strategies instead. “Well, um, you know, my concern today is with, um, fentanyl trafficking, drug trafficking, and I’d say…” she began, before highlighting the Treasury Department’s efforts.

In December 2023, the department established a Counter-Fentanyl Strike Force. According to the Drug Enforcement Agency, a single kilogram of fentanyl can be lethal to up to half a million people. The DEA reported seizing over 55 million fentanyl pills in 2023.

Cavuto pressed further, suggesting that completely closing the border would eliminate trafficking. Yellen responded by advocating for advanced drug detection technology rather than a full border shutdown. “The most impactful tool we have is, um, to put in place sophisticated drug detection equipment, and that’s what President Biden has done,” she stated.

A few more “ums” and Fox News viewers would’ve fallen asleep trying to listen to her rambling.

President Joe Biden has recently taken measures to address the border situation, signing an executive order on June 4 that temporarily halts asylum claims. This policy was enacted after an influx of over 2,500 migrants crossing daily over a week-long period and will continue until the number drops below an average of 1,500 daily.

The border issue has become a significant topic in the 2024 election campaign, exacerbated by several high-profile crimes involving illegal immigrants. Among these incidents, Victor Antonio Martinez-Hernandez, an illegal immigrant from El Salvador, was arrested in Oklahoma for the m*rder of 37-year-old Rachel Morin in Maryland.

Additionally, Houston authorities recently charged two men with the capital m*rder of a 12-year-old girl and are investigating their immigration statuses. Another case involved Jose Antonio Ibarra, an illegal immigrant from Venezuela, who was arrested for the m*rder of 22-year-old nursing student Laken Riley in Georgia.

The debate over how to best secure the U.S.-Mexico border continues, with significant implications for national security, public health, and the upcoming presidential election.

As of right now, though, polls and surveys are heavily in Donald Trump’s favor showing that most Americans (regardless of previous political affiliation) support Donald Trump’s policies over Joe Biden’s.
