Congressman rushed to the hospital with terrifying diagnosis

The government is incredibly divided. This threatens to change everything.

And one Congressman was rushed to the hospital with a terrifying diagnosis.

What happened?

Rep. Steny Hoyer (D-Md.) suffered a “mild” stroke over the weekend, prompting an immediate hospital visit, as his office revealed on Tuesday.

The 85-year-old former House majority leader “experienced a mild ischemic stroke and sought medical treatment” on Sunday night, according to a statement from his deputy chief of staff, Margaret Mulkerrin.

“Mr. Hoyer has responded well to treatment and has no lingering symptoms,” Mulkerrin assured.

“He expects to resume his normal schedule next week.”

While Hoyer’s office did not disclose the hospital where he received care or details about his discharge, they expressed gratitude to his medical team.

“Mr. Hoyer’s wife and family extend their deepest thanks to his medical team,” his spokesperson added.

Hoyer stepped down from his leadership role among House Democrats in November 2022 after decades at the top but has remained active in Congress, currently serving on the Appropriations Committee.

This isn’t the first time

Hoyer’s health has been in the spotlight before.

In 2018, he was briefly hospitalized with pneumonia while serving as House majority leader.

He also contracted COVID-19 in February 2022, making him the 32nd lawmaker to test positive for the virus that year.

This news follows another recent high-profile stroke in the Democratic Party.

Sen. John Fetterman (D-Pa.) suffered a stroke just two days before his primary victory, a stroke he later said had “technically” k*lled him.

“I didn’t have a near-death experience, because technically I had died,” Fetterman, 54, said of the life-altering event.

The stroke kept Fetterman off the campaign trail for nearly three months and left him with auditory processing issues, requiring him to use closed-captioning monitors to engage with others during speeches.
