The Left and their allies in the Swamp have spent six years trying to dig up dirt on Donald Trump. With nothing to show for it, they’re getting more desperate than ever.
And Jim Jordan just blew the lid off this plot to install a Leftist operative to investigate Donald Trump.
Since 2016, Donald Trump has been subject to countless investigations, media character assassinations, and threats from the rabid Left-wing mob.
They can’t stand the fact that he won the election they never thought he could, and they’ve never gotten over it.
To this day, Trump can’t move a muscle without the Left crying foul or announcing it as some new form of treason.
And the bureaucracy of the federal government is right in their back pocket, with the DOJ investigating him and the FBI raiding his Mar-a-Lago estate earlier this year.
But now Republican Congressman Jim Jordan (R-OH) is sounding the alarm on the government’s choice to head-up the Special Counsel investigation into former President Trump.
On Fox Business on Sunday, Jordan stated that his and Rep. Darrell Issa’s (R-CA) 2014 report into the IRS’s targeting of conservative tax-exempt organizations has potentially troubling context for the Special Counsel investigation into former President Donald Trump.
The interview comes after Attorney General Merrick Garland appointed Jack Smith as special counsel to investigate alleged wrongdoing by former President Donald Trump following an FBI raid on Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate.
He asked rhetorically, “Guess who was the lead person at the Justice Department looking for ways to target and prosecute the very people looking into who Lois Lerner went after? Jack Smith, the guy Merrick Garland just named as special counsel to go after President Trump.”
Indeed, Smith, the then-chief of the Justice Department’s public integrity section, criminal division, emailed his senior leadership in September 2010 about a New York Times piece about conservative organizations:
Check out [the] article on front page of ny times [sic] regarding misuse of non-profits for indirectly funding campaigns. This seems egregious to me – could we ever charge a [18 U.S.C. §] 371 conspiracy to violate laws of the USA for misuse of such non profits to get around existing campaign finance laws + limits? I know 501s are legal but if they are knowingly using them beyond what they are allowed to use them for (and we could prove that factually)? IRS Commissioner sarah ingram [sic] oversees these groups. Let’s discuss tomorrow but maybe we should try to set up a meeting this week. [Emphasis added]
During an October 2010 meeting, Smith, the Public Integrity section’s chief, “expressed concern that certain 501(c) organizations [conservative organizations] are actually political committees ‘posing’ as if they are not subject to FEC law,” and thus might face “criminal liability.”
But the controversy around Jack Smith doesn’t end with him – his wife has also been thrown into the fray.
On September 9, 2020, Smith’s wife, Katy Chevigny, contributed $1,000 to Biden’s 2020 campaign, Biden for President, and the Biden Victory Fund super PAC, according to Federal Election Commission records.
Furthermore, in July 2008, when Tlaib was running for the Michigan House of Representatives in the state’s Twelfth District, she donated $150 to the Friends of Rashida Tlaib committee.
Not only that, but Chevigny also helped produce the 2020 Michelle Obama documentary Becoming.

With all of these revelations, Donald Trump made clear he believes this is yet another politically motivated investigation and will refuse to cooperate.
“I have been going through this for six years — for six years I have been going through this, and I am not going to go through it anymore,” Trump said. “And I hope the Republicans have the courage to fight this.”
“I have been proven innocent for six years on everything — from fake impeachments to Mueller, who found no collusion, and now I have to do it more? It is not acceptable. It is so unfair. It is so political,” he added.
