Texas Democratic Senate hopeful James Talarico just discovered biology after years of pushing the opposite.
The state representative and party nominee for U.S. Senate walked back his earlier claim that there are six s*xes while participating in a recent sit-down with Fox News.
The original remark came in 2021. At the time he presented the idea as settled fact, the kind of progressive talking point that has infected school debates and medical policy across the country.
Fox News correspondent Brooke Taylor pressed him on it directly. “During the 2021 hearing, you said there are six biological s*xes,” she stated.
“Do you still believe that standing here with me right now?”
Talarico folded. “No, I’ve missed the mark on some of my past statements. I will be the first to admit it. What I meant is that there are two s*xes, and then there’s a small percentage of people with genetic abnormalities. Obviously, I didn’t say it correctly,” he stated.
“There are not six s*xes, there are two. And I think the reason that politicians in that convention center across the street want to talk about six s*xes is because they don’t want to talk about $6 diesel.”
“Everywhere I go across the State of Texas people are struggling to survive in this economy. They are struggling to afford the basics, groceries, gas, utilities, health care. And that’s what I’m going to be focused on from now until Election Day.”
Taylor made sure the record was clear: “So, just to nail it down here standing with me, you can confidently say there are two s*xes, a man and a woman.”
Talarico responded: “Absolutely.”
The sudden conversion comes as no surprise to anyone who has watched Democrats scramble whenever voters push back against gender ideology.
For years the left treated basic biology as optional, especially when the topic involved classrooms and children.
Now that the same message is hurting candidates in places like Texas, the rhetoric softens quickly.
