With Joe Biden’s physical decline center stage, many have wondered if someone else is pulling the strings. Former President Trump left no room for doubt.
And Donald Trump just revealed who actually controls the White House.
No one can doubt that Joe Biden is not nearly as fit for office as he once was.
He’s stumbling up and down the stairs of Air Force One, rambling about nothing in speeches, and rarely answering reporters questions.
But the real question is just how far gone is the current President of the United States.
Could it be possible that a web of advisors and handlers behind the scenes are running more of the day to day operations at the White House than is let on?
Well, to Donald Trump, that’s exactly what’s happening.
Former President Donald Trump stated on Tuesday that Vice President Joe Biden does not appear to be driving his own administration, which he claims has been hijacked by “vicious, smart” progressives.
In an interview with Tucker Carlson for Fox News, Trump predicted that Biden would be unable to run for president a second time due to his declining mental and physical health.
“I don’t think he can,” Trump told the host. “There’s something wrong.”
Trump stated that “it’s not him” driving most of the agenda being imposed at the federal level, referring to Biden’s absence at press appearances and general check-out attitude. He is “surrounded by vicious smart people, radical left people,” he says.
Biden traveled to Northern Ireland on Tuesday to mark the 25th anniversary of a peace agreement that ended the country’s 30-year strife.
“When the world is exploding, I’m not going to Ireland. You could end up in a third world war, and he’s going to be in Ireland,” Trump said.
Other Democratic candidates under consideration, Trump speculated, may include Vice President Kamala Harris, though he added, “I don’t think she’s performed well on the big stage.”
California governor Gavin Newsom, whom Trump recalls as “very nice” to him during his presidency, has also been mentioned as a potential 2024 star power, according to Trump.
“I don’t see Biden doing it from a physical or mental standpoint,” Trump repeated. “It’s not an age thing.”
Biden has made certain steps that have disappointed Democrats in recent months, coinciding with the recent appointment of more moderate liberal White House Chief of Staff Jeff Zients.
For example, National Review’s Jim Geraghty observed that Biden joined Republicans in opposing a District of Columbia criminal code revision that would have cut punishments for carjackers. He also provided his formal approval for a huge oil-drilling project in Alaska.
Biden’s ideological tilt suggests that Zients’s more radical predecessor, Ron Klain, who was commonly known to as “prime minister” for his forceful management style, may have pressed him to go further left on policy than he would have otherwise been inclined to.
But with the White House mulling over a 2024 run, we’ll likely never know the full extent of Biden’s capacities.
