The truth about Jack Smith revealed and Trump is utterly furious
Donald Trump is out to clear his name. And he may have just stumbled upon what he needs to do that.
Because the truth about Trump prosecutor Jack Smith has left the former President utterly furious.
An associate of special counsel Jack Smith’s who is prosecuting Trump on charges of trying to rig the 2020 election, was involved in a high-profile case involving a pro-life advocate.
Prosecutor Molly Gaston, who is now an integral part of Smith’s team after serving for many years in the U.S. Attorney’s office for the District of Columbia, was involved in the early phases of the case against pro-life campaigner Lauren Handy. Since her guilty conviction on four other charges related to obstructing entrance to an abortion clinic in Washington, D.C. in 2020 – a violation of the Freedom of entrance to Clinic Entrances (FACE) Act – Handy has remained incarcerated.
Gaston’s name is on several of the case’s preliminary documents. In March 2022, she supposedly wrote a request to keep the charges and proceedings sealed because letting them become public would “compromise the integrity of the investigation by permitting alleged conspirators to flee or destroy evidence.”
Both the April 2022 and July 2022 protection order motions include her name.
Alexandra Snyder, CEO of the Life Legal Defense Foundation, shared with media reporters about the Department of Justice’s apparent lack of principles. Snyder said that the DOJ is loyal to the abortion lobby.
“So if somebody is power hungry, this is the statute they’re going to use because, again, it’s so vague it can be applied to just about anything.”
In court, Handy’s attorney stated that her client’s decision to block the Washington Surgi-Clinic was based on her viewing an undercover video from 2013 that was released by the pro-life organization Live Action. In the video, doctor Cesare Santangelo of the clinic was seen telling a woman that he “would not help” a baby born alive following an unsuccessful abortion attempt. According to WUSA9, Clinton appointee District Judge Colleen Kollar-Kotelly deemed the film to be “propaganda” and refused to permit its playing in court.
The trial, according to Live Action President Lila Rose’s August statement, is “a sham with a biased pro-abortion judge who has made a mockery of our justice system” and “the Biden DoJ has acted capriciously and illegitimately.”
As reported by The Washington Post, Gaston has a reputation for taking on high-profile cases. One of her notable cases involved former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe, whom she chose not to prosecute for allegedly making misleading statements regarding his involvement in information leaks to the media. Another case involved the prosecution of Steve Bannon on contempt of Congress charges following his defiance of a subpoena from the Jan. 6 select committee.

The prosecution of Peter Navarro, a former adviser to Trump’s White House, on contempt of congress charges was a case she was involved with in 2022, according to court documents.
Additionally, Gaston has been involved in the prosecution of other instances involving defendants from January 6.
Derrick Evans, a former senator from West Virginia, was sentenced to three months in prison after NBC News reported that he had live streamed a video of himself entering the Capitol. Molly Gaston was involved with his case. According to Roll Call, Gaston was also involved in the prosecution of Michael Angelo Riley, a former Capitol Police officer. Riley was given a two-year probationary term for contacting a rioter on Facebook in an effort to remove pictures depicting him inside the building, and then deleting those messages. Some conservatives believed that case involved serious First Amendment violations.
From 2006 through 2012, Gaston gave more than $3,000 to Democratic causes.
According to statistics from the Federal Election Commission, she contributed $350 to the 2012 campaign of former President Barack Obama. Rush Holt, a former Democrat representative from New Jersey, received $500 from her in 2013 for his Senate bid and $1,500 in 2010 for his House race.
As per the Federal Election Commission’s records, she contributed $250 to the 2007 presidential campaign of Democrat Senator John Edwards and $500 to the 2006 campaign of former Democrat Senator James Webb of Virginia.
She was a member of the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform’s Democratic staff from 2005 to 2007, as reported by LegiStorm.
