Top Republican Presidential candidate rushed to the hospital

The race for the Republican nomination for President is in full swing. But it’s been flipped on its head.

Because a top Republican candidate has been suddenly rushed to the hospital.

If there’s one thing that we’ve learned over the past several years, it’s that you can’t count on any plans going exactly as you want.

That’s especially true for those in politics as well.

Hillary Clinton assumed she would walk her way past Donald Trump and into the White House back in 2016, and that didn’t happen.

Many assumed that Donald Trump would easily win in 2020, but even though there’s questions about the 2020 election, that didn’t happen either.

And who can forget when the nation shut down for two years and everything was in flux every single day due to a pandemic panic?

Well now a wrench has been thrown into the race for the Republican nomination for President as one of the top candidates who was expected to appear on the debate stage had to be rushed to the hospital.

According to reports, the North Dakota Governor and Republican candidate for President Doug Burgum was simply playing basketball with his campaign team last night when he seriously injured his leg.

He had to be sent to the hospital in the emergency room immediately, giving the indication that he broke his leg or at least fractured it.

Now Burgum’s ability to attend the debate is in question, which certainly changes things for the whole race, especially those on the debate stage tonight.

There has been no answer from the Burgum campaign on whether Burgum will be appearing at the debate at this time.

In total, there were eight candidates who qualified for the first Republican debate that airs on Fox News.

Those are Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley, former Vice President Mike Pence, the former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie, the U.S. Senator from South Carolina Tim Scott, businessman Vivek Ramaswamy, and North Dakota’s Governor Doug Burgum.

With one less person on the debate stage, that’s certainly a big deal.

It gives the other candidates, some of which are performing better than Burgum in the polls, a chance to have more airtime and get their message out to the viewers.

A major criticism in recent years has been that the debate stage has become too crowded in the primary seasons.

But of course, if Burgum is able, there’s no one stopping him from trying to make the debate and either lean on his podium throughout the night or maybe even use a wheelchair.
