Ever since 2020, Donald Trump has been planning his comeback to the Oval Office.

Despite the FBI and DOJ targeting him with raids and Democrats throwing every lawsuit in the books at him, it hasn’t stopped Trump in the slightest.

Even the Left’s characterizing of January 6th as a violent insurrection meant to overthrow the government has only lit a bigger fire under the former president to take them down.

And all of the RINOs that didn’t stand at his side when they called him a dictators are feeling his wrath.

Former President Donald Trump replied to further criticism from his former No. 2 Mike Pence on Monday, implying that the former vice president was to responsibility for the violence at the Capitol riot on January 6.

Trump stated that rioters would not have broken into the Capitol building in an attempt to halt the joint session of Congress if Pence had refused to certify the results of the 2020 election.

Pence had refused to halt the certification of President Joseph Biden’s victory, stating that he lacked the authority to do so.

“Had he sent the votes back to the legislatures, they wouldn’t have had a problem with Jan. 6, so in many ways, you can blame him,” Trump told reporters after holding a campaign event in Davenport, Iowa, on Monday.

“Had he sent them back to Pennsylvania, Georgia, Arizona, the states, I believe … you would have had a different outcome. But I also believe you wouldn’t have had ‘Jan. 6,’ as we call it.”

Trump’s remarks follow Pence’s weekend accusation that the previous president was “wrong” to demand he reject the election results.

“His irresponsible statements threatened my family and everyone at the Capitol that day. And I know that history will hold Donald Trump accountable,” Pence said at a dinner in Washington on Saturday.

Trump dismissed Pence’s remarks, alleging he was merely trying to improve his standing ahead of a possible presidential candidacy. Pence has not stated if he intends to run for president, but the former vice president has become a frequent sight on the campaign road.

“I guess he figured that being nice is not working. But, you know, he’s out there campaigning. And he’s trying very hard. And he’s a nice man. I’ve known him. I had a very good relationship until the end,” Trump said of Pence.

Pence sought legal counsel on whether he could reject the certification unilaterally before Congress meets on Jan. 6, 2021, to certify the results of the 2020 election.

According to various witnesses’ testimonies to the Jan. 6 committee last year, Trump was reportedly enraged by Pence’s decision that he lacked such authority.

Trump also cited new legislation passed by Congress in December that specifies the method for certifying Electoral College votes, claiming that the amendments prove Pence had the authority to reject the results if he so desired.

“He had the right to send them back, otherwise they wouldn’t have changed the Voting Act. They all said, ‘He didn’t have any rights at all, he was a human conveyor belt, he had no rights even if it was fraud.’

And then the day after he did it, they said, ‘Now we’re going to change it so he doesn’t do it.’ Meaning, you understand that, meaning he had the right to do it,” Trump said, according to the Washington Post.
