Americans are fed up with Congress working against them. The time in the sun for D.C. crooks is up.

That’s why Dr. Phil just slapped a Muslim Democrat Congresswoman across the face with this wake-up call.

Ilhan Omar’s Anti-American Rants Spark Outrage

Minnesota Democratic Representative Ilhan Omar has once again ignited controversy with her relentless criticism of the United States, prompting a fiery rebuke from television personality Dr. Phil McGraw. In a scathing segment on The Real Story, Dr. Phil tore into Omar’s recent comments labeling America as “one of the worst countries,” accusing her of biting the hand that fed her after she fled the chaos of Somalia for the opportunities of the U.S.

Omar’s latest outburst came during a June 13 interview on Democracy Now!, where she took aim at a military parade marking the U.S. Army’s 250th anniversary on June 14. The event, which coincided with Flag Day and President Donald Trump’s 79th birthday, was meant to celebrate American pride. But Omar, true to form, saw it as an affront. “Our president is spending millions of dollars [propping] himself up like a failed dictator with a military parade,” she said, casting the commemoration as a grotesque display of authoritarianism.

Dr. Phil didn’t hold back in his response, painting a vivid contrast between Omar’s privileged life in America and the horrors she escaped in Somalia. “You can’t make this up. Who are we talking about here? Omar fled Somalia — a failed state, a country ravaged by civil war, corruption and poverty — and she spent years in a Kenyan refugee camp,” he said. “I hate that for her. I really do. She resettled in the U.S. as a refugee — so happy for her. She was given housing, afforded education, opportunity, freedom. She became a citizen in 2000 at 17. Again, so happy for her. Thank God she escaped that terrible life.”

Yet, despite her remarkable journey from refugee to congresswoman, Omar’s gratitude appears nonexistent. “She has every reason to be thankful. Is she? Not even almost!” Dr. Phil exclaimed. “Instead, she spends her time bashing the very country that saved her and her family.” Her ascent to Congress, one of the first Muslim women elected to the House, should symbolize the American Dream. Instead, Dr. Phil argued, she uses her platform to vilify the nation that gave her a second chance.

Omar’s rhetoric, often cloaked in progressive ideals, has long drawn criticism for its anti-American bent. In a 2019 speech to the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), she infamously referred to the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks as “some people did something.” Dr. Phil seized on this, sarcastically remarking, “Really? ‘Some people did something’? Way to stand up for your country.” The dismissive phrase, critics argue, downplays the tragedy that claimed nearly 3,000 lives and reshaped global security.

Equally inflammatory was Omar’s 2021 tweet equating the United States and Israel with terrorist organizations like Hamas and the Taliban. “We have seen unthinkable atrocities committed by the U.S., Hamas, Israel, Afghanistan, and the Taliban,” she wrote. Dr. Phil called this comparison “crazy talk,” slamming Omar for placing America alongside groups responsible for egregious human rights abuses. Such statements, he argued, reveal a deep-seated disdain for the nation that offered her refuge.

Omar’s latest comments about the military parade doubled down on her narrative of America as a failing state. “I mean, I grew up in a dictatorship and I don’t even remember ever witnessing anything like that to have a democracy, a beacon of hope for the world to now be turned into one of the, you know, one of the worst countries, where the military are in our streets without any regard for people’s constitutional rights,” she said. Critics, including Dr. Phil, see this as a gross exaggeration, accusing her of distorting a patriotic celebration into a symbol of oppression.

The congresswoman’s remarks didn’t stop there. She accused President Trump of “destroying our country,” claiming, “I think the person who is in the process of destroying our country should look in the mirror and that’s Trump.” She further argued that Trump’s actions betray American values, asserting that “protest, dissent, is constitutionally protected that is everybody’s First Amendment right in this country.” Yet, her critics point out the irony: Omar exercises her First Amendment rights to condemn the very system that protects her freedom to speak.

Dr. Phil’s response was blunt. “She has the right to say what she’s saying. Culturally, psychologically, I think it’s disgusting. But does she have the right to say it? Yeah, she does — just like I have the right to say it’s absolutely disgusting!” he said. He went further, urging voters to reconsider their support for Omar: “And whoever voted for her now knows who they voted for and should kick her *ss to the curb!”

Omar’s pattern of inflammatory statements aligns her with the so-called “Squad,” a group of far-left Democrats known for their radical stances and provocative rhetoric. Her allies, like Representatives Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Rashida Tlaib, often echo similar sentiments, framing America as a deeply flawed nation in need of drastic overhaul. This worldview, critics argue, dismisses the country’s achievements and opportunities, particularly for immigrants like Omar who have thrived under its system.

The congresswoman’s critics contend that her rhetoric isn’t just ungrateful—it’s divisive. By comparing America to dictatorships and terrorist organizations, she fuels a narrative that undermines national unity. Her focus on dissent and protest, while constitutionally protected, often overshadows any acknowledgment of the freedoms and opportunities that define the U.S. For many, this selective outrage feels like a betrayal of the nation that embraced her.

Omar’s defenders, however, argue that her criticism stems from a desire to hold America accountable to its ideals. They point to her background in Somalia, where she witnessed authoritarianism firsthand, as shaping her perspective on power and governance. Yet, even these supporters struggle to justify her tendency to equate the U.S. with regimes and groups that suppress dissent and commit atrocities, a comparison that many find not only inaccurate but offensive.

The military parade that sparked Omar’s latest comments was, for most Americans, a moment of pride, not division. Celebrating the Army’s 250 years of service, the event honored the sacrifices of those who have defended the nation. Omar’s decision to frame it as a dictatorial spectacle, critics say, reveals more about her agenda than the event itself. Her remarks, they argue, cater to a radical base that thrives on anti-American sentiment rather than fostering constructive dialogue.
