Vance has made a name for himself as a firebrand. And he isn’t pulling any punches.

Now JD Vance shut down Joe Biden for making the most idiotic claim imaginable.

Vance Rejects Biden’s Critique with Familiar Flair

Vice President JD Vance delivered a sharp rebuke to former President Joe Biden’s critique of the Trump administration’s handling of the Ukraine-Russia conflict, reviving his signature dismissive tone during a Thursday appearance on Fox News.

Addressing Biden’s remarks to the BBC, where he labeled a contentious White House meeting between President Donald Trump, Vance, and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky as “beneath America,” Vance didn’t hold back. Biden had also accused Trump’s Russia strategy of being “modern-day appeasement,” a claim Vance swiftly dismantled.

“I think it’s rich for Joe Biden to comment on anything we’re doing when it comes to Russia and Ukraine because of course under Biden’s administration, Russia launched the full-scale invasion of Ukraine,” Vance told The Story host Martha MacCallum.

His words carried a pointed edge, framing Biden’s tenure as the catalyst for the ongoing war’s escalation. Vance’s response emphasizes a narrative of deflecting criticism by highlighting the previous administration’s perceived failures.

A Pattern of Dismissal and Policy Critique

Vance’s retort leaned on a familiar refrain: “If we wanted to take advice from anybody on foreign policy, especially foreign policy in Europe, it would not be Joe Biden.”

With a nod to his characteristic bluntness, he added, “So I wish Joe Biden the best. I don’t really care what he has to say about American foreign policy because so much of what he actually did was a total disaster.”

This “I don’t really care” line echoed a previous exchange in January, when Vance brushed off CBS’s Margaret Brennan with, “I don’t really care, Margaret,” during a discussion about Afghan refugees.

The vice president didn’t stop at dismissal. He argued that reversing Biden’s policies could lead to “one of the most successful foreign policy administrations in a very long time.”

Suggesting Biden retire to “the beach or doing whatever Joe Biden does,” Vance positioned the Trump administration as the solution to problems inherited from its predecessor.

This rhetorical flourish not only deflected Biden’s critique but also painted a stark contrast between the two administrations’ approaches to global challenges.

Trump’s Push for Peace Amid Ongoing Talks

The exchange came on the heels of President Trump’s latest efforts to address the Ukraine-Russia war, which he discussed in a Truth Social post earlier that day. Having recently secured a minerals agreement with Ukraine, Trump outlined his administration’s diplomatic goals.

“Talks with Russia/Ukraine continue. The U.S. calls for, ideally, a 30-day unconditional ceasefire,” he wrote, emphasizing accountability for both nations. “If the ceasefire is not respected, the U.S. and its partners will impose further sanctions.”

Trump’s message was steeped in urgency and a call for resolution. “Thousands of young soldiers are dying on a weekly basis, and everybody should want it to STOP. I do, and the United States of America does, also,” he stated. Committing to “securing Peace between Russia and Ukraine, together with the Europeans,” Trump envisioned a “Lasting Peace” and offered his immediate availability to facilitate negotiations.
