U.S. Senate smacks the Biden family with incriminating document
The Bidens thought they covered the tracks of their alleged crimes. They were sorely wrong.
Because the U.S. Senate just turned up an incriminating document that has the Biden family panicking.
The now-famous FBI form detailing a witness’s allegations that Vice President Joe Biden participated in a bribery scheme when he was in office was released by Senator Chuck Grassley (R-IA) on Thursday.
Grassley released the entirety of the FD-1023 form, with just minor redactions, on Thursday. Several Republicans in Congress had previously seen the form.
In a statement released alongside the form, the Iowa Republican charged the FBI of trying to “obfuscate and redact” information before finally agreeing to let congressional Republicans read the form.
Grassley obtained the document through constitutionally permitted disclosures by Justice Department whistleblowers, allowing “the American people to read it for themselves, without the filter of politicians or bureaucrats,” he added.
The FBI collects “raw, unverified” information from trusted human sources using FD-1023 forms.
A copy of the form was subpoenaed from the FBI by Grassley and House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer (R-KY) in May. The FBI first refused to help the committee out, citing the “sensitive” nature of the materials as their reason.
FBI Director Christopher Wray was threatened with contempt of Congress in June, so the bureau finally gave in and let lawmakers see a heavily redacted version of the report.
According to Grassley, the redactions included the assertion that a foreign national who had reportedly bribed the Bidens was in ownership of 17 audio tapes of discussions with the Bidens.
In a Senate hearing that month, FBI Deputy Director Paul Abbate justified the blackouts, saying they were necessary to “protect the source.”
“We often redact documents to protect sources and methods,” Abbate explained.
The form confirming the validity of the assertion about audio recordings was released on Thursday with a date of June 30, 2020. Mykola Zlochevsky, head of Ukrainian energy company Burisma, allegedly told an FBI informant that he had “17 recordings” involving the Bidens; two of the tapes included Joe Biden, while the remaining 15 recordings involved Hunter Biden.
It was noted on the form that the FBI’s informant “reiterated that, per Zlochevsky, these recordings evidence Zlochevsky was somehow coerced into paying the Bidens to ensure Ukraine Prosecutor General Viktor Shokin was fired” in 2016.
The form also corroborated the FBI source’s more general allegation that Zlochevsky awarded Joe and Hunter Biden a total of $10 million to pressure the elder Biden to end Shokin’s investigation of Burisma, where the younger Biden held a lucrative board position.
Possible evidence of text messages was also exposed by the form.
“Zlochevsky replied [to the FBI’s source] he has many text messages and’recordings’ that show that he was coerced to make such payments,” the form read, implying that he had been “forced” by the Bidens to pay them.
For example, “Zlochevsky stated he has two documents… evidence some payment(s) to the Bidens were made, presumably in exchange for Shokin’s firing,” the form reads.
Zlochevsky’s mention of the “Big Guy,” who the FBI’s informant believed to be Joe Biden, was also corroborated by the form. In a separate incident from 2017, the term came up during negotiations between Hunter Biden and a Chinese businessman.
During an interview in June, Comer described the FBI’s form source as “a trusted, highly credible informant who has been used by the FBI for years.”
