Federal prosecutors, vehemently opposing the defense’s assertions, dismissed claims of selective prosecution as baseless conspiracy theories. But it’s what they’ve got. While a majority of voters have also indicated in surveys that Hunter Biden’s crimes shouldn’t have a major impact on their opinion of President Joe Biden, the reality is that Biden will need every vote he can get if he wants to win this November.
Donald Trump has been leading him in the national polls for months, something that wasn’t the case in the razor close 2020 election cycle. Even a small portion of former 2020 Biden voters finding a home elsewhere would be enough to change everything, especially in battleground states that are going to be hotly contested once again like Michigan and Arizona.
