President Trump dropped a bombshell prediction during his Tuesday address to House Republicans, warning that a midterm loss in November could lead to his third impeachment. At the same time, he slammed former President Joe Biden, insisting the Democrat deserved impeachment for countless wrongs.
Speaking at the newly renamed Trump-Kennedy Center, Trump laid it out plain and simple: “If we don’t win the midterms … they’ll find a reason to impeach me.”
“I’ll get impeached,” he declared. Then he turned the heat up, pointing out the double standard: “We don’t impeach them. You know why? Because they’re meaner than we are. We should have impeached Joe Biden for 100 different things.”
Trump pushed the GOP crowd to flip the script on Democrats who are hammering away at affordability. He wants Republicans to spotlight the sweet deals in the recent tax-cut law that’s kicking in just in time for tax season.
The president promised to muscle in on health insurance giants himself, calling them “big fat cat” executives and vowing to force price drops, much like he did with drug companies last year. However, some firms hiked prices anyway.
Recall that Trump faced impeachment twice before: first in 2019 for pushing Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelensky to probe Biden family dealings, and in 2021 over claims he stirred up the January 6 Capitol events that halted Biden’s win certification.
If Democrats seize control in 2027, expect a barrage of probes into Trump’s administration and his business dealings, as they gear up for payback.
Polls from RealClearPolitics show Democrats ahead by four points in generic ballots, 46% to 42%, suggesting the House might flip blue next year.
Trump rallied the troops to hammer home the wins from his One Big Beautiful Bill Act, which pumps up tax refunds starting soon this year.
“You have so much ammunition, all you have to do is sell it — taxes,” Trump urged, emphasizing the need to broadcast these benefits loud and clear.
“There are so many goodies in the bill. You have to get the word out, because the people in the back of the room won’t do it,” he added, taking a jab at the media folks.
That landmark bill, rammed through without a single Democrat vote, delivers on Trump’s promises like axing taxes on tips and overtime, plus deductions for loans on cars that are made in America.
It also erases a lot of tax liability for retired individuals and jacks up the State and Local Tax deduction to $40,000, a huge win for everyday folks in pricey states like New York.
Trump also touted soaring stock markets as a boon for 401(k)s and doubled down on countering Democrat attacks over lapsed health subsidies for the middle class.
“Let the money go not to the big fat cats and the insurance companies that made 1,700% over the last short period of time. Let the money go directly to the people where they can buy their own health care,” he proclaimed.
“In a few days, I’m meeting with them all, 14 companies. I’m meeting with them all. I’m also meeting with oil companies … We got a lot of oil to drill, which is going to bring down oil prices even further.”
He blasted Democrats for being in the pocket of insurers after their 43-day shutdown flop to keep pandemic subsidies alive: “You guys don’t get money from the insurance companies. They do. They get a massive amount of money. It’s their biggest donor.”
“They’re going to try and fight you, but they can’t win the fight if you explain it: The money goes directly to the people. That’s going to be your issue,” Trump said.
