Donald Trump is finally back in power. And he isn’t waiting around to play nice this time.

Now Trump promised to release these confidential documents that has the deep state panicking.

President Donald Trump announced Sunday his intention to release long-classified government records concerning the assassinations of John F. Kennedy, Martin Luther King Jr., and Robert F. Kennedy.

Speaking to a packed crowd at his Victory Rally held at Washington, D.C.’s Capital One Arena — a venue with a capacity of 20,000 — Trump emphasized his commitment to increasing government transparency as part of his broader agenda.

“As the first step toward restoring transparency and accountability to government, we will also reverse the over-classification of government documents,” Trump declared.

He then made a bold promise to his supporters.

“And in the coming days, we are going to make public remaining records relating to the assassinations of President John F. Kennedy, his brother Robert Kennedy, as well as Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.,” he continued. “It’s all going to be released.”

Trump’s pledge reignites a debate that has lingered for decades. During his first term in office, Trump similarly vowed to release all files related to the 1963 assassination of President Kennedy in Dallas, Texas.

Despite this promise, significant portions of the records remain hidden from public view.

In 2018, after appeals from the CIA and FBI, Trump blocked the release of hundreds of these documents.

At the time, he justified the decision, stating the “potential harm to U.S. national security, law enforcement, or foreign affairs is of such gravity that it outweighs the public interest in immediate disclosure.”

More recently, in December 2022, President Joe Biden declassified a batch of documents related to Kennedy’s assassination.

However, Biden — much like Trump — cited national security concerns as the reason for withholding some materials.

Trump’s latest promise includes the release of files not only on Kennedy but also on civil rights icon Martin Luther King Jr. and Robert F. Kennedy, former U.S. Attorney General and brother of John F. Kennedy.

The timeline and specifics of how he plans to accelerate the release of these records remain unclear.

Both King and Robert F. Kennedy were assassinated in 1968, pivotal moments in American history that continue to raise questions decades later.

Under the Martin Luther King Jr. Records Collection Act, the remaining classified files related to King’s assassination are not scheduled for release until 2027.

Trump’s pledge to expedite the process signals his intention to prioritize transparency but leaves room for speculation about the hurdles he may face in doing so.

As anticipation grows, Trump’s supporters view this promise as a potential cornerstone of his effort to restore faith in government accountability, while skeptics await further details on how he plans to deliver on his vow.
