Michelle Obama went on CBS and all hell broke loose
The Obamas are not going away any time soon. They want to pull the strings from the shadows.
And Michelle Obama went on CBS and had all hell breaking loose with one traitorous comment.
Anyone who claims to be a proud American should know that a part of that is being proud of America’s rich history as being the first and only nation to ever guarantee vast freedoms for its citizens.
The U.S. Constitution guarantees rights that no other nation in history has ever replicated ever since America’s founding.
These rights include the right to free speech, the right to peaceful assembly, the right to free press, the right to a trial, and many many more.
But two rights in particular have been under intense fire as of late. Those two are the right to free speech and the right to keep and bear arms.
The Founding Fathers knew that the Second Amendment needed to exist so that Americans could protect themselves to keep their First Amendment free speech rights should the situation ever arise.
But the Democrat Party today absolutely hates the Second Amendment and they wish it never existed at all.
The proof for this? Michelle Obama, the former First Lady to Democrat President Barack Obama, has said as much.
Appearing on CBS this week, Michelle Obama indicated that she things the Second Amendment should be voted out of the Constitution by a simple ballot vote.
CBS host Gayle King first asked Michelle Obama if there’s a way to “reconcile gun violence” in America.
Michelle at first said “I hope and pray that, at some point, enough becomes enough.”
She then lied and said that America is the only first world nation with citizens that can have “unfettered access” to firearms.
“But we are the only developed country on the planet where its citizens can have unfettered access to firearms,” she ranted.
Americans actually don’t have unfettered access to firearms in America. They have to get background checks in every state in order to purchase a firearm.
And in some states, certain firearms and magazine sizes are outright banned.
But she really let the cat out of the bag next when she said that “this is where democracy comes in” and said that “all of this stuff is decided in the ballot box.”
She seems to think that the Second Amendment can be – our should be – put up for a simple majority vote in a national election.
But that’s beyond dangerous.
A majority of the American population is centered around just a few areas including California and New York. The citizens in California and New York don’t get to dictate the rights of all Americans just because they control major swaths of the population’s culture.
Michelle Obama knows that. She and her Democrat base don’t care, though. They want guns out of the hands of American citizens because then it is easier to control them.
