Rep. Jim Jordan has always been a staunch defender of former President Trump. Now he’s handed him his biggest victory yet.
And Jim Jordan just blew up the Left’s case against Trump with one stunning act.
Democrats are on the war path, and the only thing that will satisfy their bloodlust is Trump in jail.
That’s why they’ve spent the past year hitting him from all angles with lawsuits claiming everything from election interference to assaulting a woman in a dressing room.
It doesn’t matter what charge they get him on, they just want to get him.
And this isn’t sitting well with principled conservatives.
In a letter sent on Thursday, House Judiciary Chairman Jim Jordan announced a probe into Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis’ investigation into former President Donald Trump and the 2020 election.
Jordan’s letter to Willis arrived as Trump arrived at a Fulton County jail on Thursday evening to be fingerprinted and photographed. Trump is facing 13 charges, including racketeering claims, for his conduct following the 2020 election in Georgia.
“Your indictment and prosecution implicate substantial federal interests, and the circumstances surrounding your actions raise serious concerns about whether they are politically motivated,” Jordan wrote.
“Turning first to the question of motivation, it is noteworthy that just four days before this indictment, you launched a new campaign fundraising website that highlighted your investigation into President Trump. Additionally, the forewoman of the special grand jury you convened to investigate President Trump earlier this year bragged during an unusual media tour about her excitement at the prospect of subpoenaing President Trump and getting to swear him in,” the letter said.
Jordan was referencing to remarks made by grand jury forewoman Emily Kohrs on CNN, which some legal experts suggested may hinder Trump’s case.

Jordan also wants to hear if there was any collusion with special counsel Jack Smith, who has indicted Trump in both Washington, D.C. and Florida.
“There are questions about whether and how your office coordinate with DOJ Special Counsel Jack Smith during the course of this investigation, and Congress has an interest in any such activity that involves federal law enforcement agencies, and officials that fall under its oversight,” the letter said.
In the Georgia case, Trump is charged alongside 18 other co-defendants, including Rudy Giuliani, John Eastman, Mark Meadows, Jenna Ellis, and Sidney Powell, all of whom have turned themselves in for processing.
On Tuesday, Eastman, a constitutional law scholar and former Trump legal adviser, warned that the case “will have — and is already having — profound consequences for our system of justice.”
“I am here today to surrender to an indictment that should never have been brought,” Eastman said to the reporters after he handed himself in on Tuesday.
“It represents a crossing of the Rubicon for our country, implicating the fundamental First Amendment right to petition the government for redress of grievances.”
Willis has asked that Trump’s trial begin as soon as October 23.
