The Left is doing all they can to kneecap Trump’s campaign for president. Now they’re living to regret it.
And a federal judge handed Trump a massive victory that left Democrats fuming.
On Tuesday, a federal judge in Nevada dismissed a ballot eligibility lawsuit against former President Trump, concluding that the challenger lacked valid standing.
Federal Judge Gloria Navarro ruled that the individual who submitted the challenge, long-shot Republican presidential candidate John Anthony Castro, lacked real standing to do so since he sought to run for president in order to create legal standing.
“In rejecting his political competitor standing argument, courts have found that Castro improperly manufactured his standing merely to file this lawsuit,” Navarro said in a statement.
Navarro highlighted an October Associated Press report in which Castro admitted he had no intention of running for president.
“I’m not going to lie and pretend my candidacy is anything more than trying to enforce the United States Constitution, and that’s what I’m here to do,” he was quoted as saying by the AP.
“I don’t want to distract anything from the mission. The fight’s going to be in the courtroom.”
Furthermore, Castro’s challenge is limited to the state’s primary.
Trump will run in the state GOP’s rival caucus rather than the Nevada primary.
Castro has filed 14th Amendment challenges against Trump in several states, with cases in New Hampshire and Florida previously dismissed.
Navarro made no decision on the merits of the challenge.
This is a common theme that we see from a certain brand of Republican.
For whatever reason, the party has been infiltrated by RINOs who would much rather play footsie with the Left than unite with the Right.
It would be bad enough if it was just Democrats in office, the deep state, and media colluding with each other to bring down the Republican frontrunner.
But when Trump’s own party wants to bring him down, you know there is a problem.
Keep in mind, this isn’t the same as running against Donald Trump.
Nikki Haley, Ron DeSantis, and countless others threw their hats in the ring in an attempt to beat him at the polls.
But what Castro wants to do is cancel Trump and prevent voters from even having a choice.
